That look single player to you messy?
That happens all the time..
Nope.
For the most part people run around on there own mining doing Carrier rat missions etc.
Its only once in a while big battles like that go on. They are not happening all the time.
For massive multilayer game there is way to much single player action.
July 29, 2006 at 10:16 pm #30380AlzirKeymasterI thought that as well before linking up with hippo and his alliance 🙂 That screen shot is of a huge fight, 200 vs 100 (although ss doesn’t capture it all) which definately dosn’t happen a lot, but in a week I’ve been in that fight and several smaller/normal ones (involving 50 ships).
I hated the game the first couple of times I tried it, although saw potential and have come back to it twice looking for exactly what I’ve got now 🙂 Player vs Player combat in this game gives the kind of rush I’ve not had since my rogue spear playing days.
It’s not for everyone though, but fuck me does it beat ogame!

You have to look at it this way, empire space (safe space may be) is for people to get started and learn the game and do missions for the agents and so on.
The early missions can be done solo, so ok might be classed as single player.
but many of the later missions will require a gang of people to do the mission if you want to succeed.
0.0 or the outer fringes is where everything is driven by the players. The market and economy is totally dependant on that.
There is not much in the way of NPC’s except for the main pirate organisations in this sort of space.
Also may be should try some of the complexes. they are a lot of fun, get tones of money and you do need quite a few ships to get through them.

Basically a noob alt with a shuttle and 1 mil isk ventures into 0.0 space and see how hes fares lol. very good read and laugh!
He is up in your area crazy hippo and alzir looking at where venal and branch regions are.
July 31, 2006 at 7:54 pm #30383AlzirKeymasterHey Max, you may see some action sooner than we thought 🙂
Those goon’s we were taking about the other day have just declared war, which means we can now kill them in empire (“safe” space) as well as them attack us. So keep on the look out for any red targets in overview with a star, or flashing red background. We’ll be making a few road trips down your way to annoy them a bit…and you could maybe get in on that action as well 🙂
July 31, 2006 at 9:38 pm #30384XDCMADMAXParticipantcool! ave it.
July 31, 2006 at 11:44 pm #30385AlzirKeymasterhehe yea lock and load the hacks 😉
August 1, 2006 at 7:55 am #30386MugworthParticipanthehe is max not in your alliance yet?
Oh btw as per our chat in eve the other day. it seems our alliance that I belong to (Ascendent Frontier) is not friendly to your alliance.
Shame your all the way up north, or I could actually stand a good chance at blowing max up 😛
Stain Empire have been bashing around our space yesterday, undocked from our outpost and 3 SE cruisers were sat outside the front door!
so warped to my safe spot and then warped back in at max range as I have tachyon beam lasers fitted and started blasting them.
some more corp mates came out and pummelled them to death and now 3 frozen dead corpses lay outside our front door!
August 2, 2006 at 11:09 am #30387RonathonParticipantGaah wish I hadn’t read this, thinking about starting to play this again.
Played for over 18 months had a 6m sp character + alt and jacked it in, cos it was taking up too much of my time.
Played a Matari in the Empire was against PIE and their allies.
I would ask for my character to be reserected but it had a shite name – Stront3h 😳
Anyone know how far back they store old characters, think I stopped playing in Feb last year?
August 2, 2006 at 2:05 pm #30388MugworthParticipantmy char is from feb last year. and they save it for you for quite a while!
basically if you can remember your account log in on the eve-o site then you can click on subscription and re-activate it. your char will be waiting 🙂
its gotten bigger now. with capital ships in the game. very cool

August 3, 2006 at 7:56 am #30393MugworthParticipantHe needs his password lol. mind if he can remember his username then he can probably contact someone at CCP to sort his password for him or do it through the eve-o site.
