I just completed a few more SP missions.. its growong on me, esspecially as I am a leet attack chopper flyer type person.. hope the MP is better than that wank demo I played 🙁

seriously don’t think i could buy another game that is already acknowledged to be buggy and graphic intensive. My computer can barely play 2142 (can’t play titan at anything that could be considered acceptable frame rates) so will wait and see what the patches can achieve – though a big LOL at yet another new PC game in need of patching immediatley after release 🙁

My fps ain’t bad. I’m happy with 1024×768, most stuff on normal with some antialiasing and there’s HDR lighting in the game.#
More fps than I get on BF2142 and the whole thing is a lot more satisfying to look at, even if the graphics aren’t as ‘cool’.

Once kicked ass on a deathmatch cap the flag thing.So far I haven’t had time to do much more. There are team games like the co-op but without the AI and the huge Capture the Island mode which chugs on my PC. Cap the Island really needs organised, large teams to play: ideal for a 1/2-day clan match! lol
Found a setting yesterday which improved load times e.g. screen switching to and from the map; it’s a start-up parameter ‘-maxmem=1500’ where 1500 is the RAM I want the game to use. That will hopefully sort me out. I’ll check it out before training, this evening.

Great game but just like Red Hammer & Resistance it looks like two-thirds of the SP campaign missions were written by a complete remboid on account of them being completely crap and stupid.
Till i buy it i been playing SP mode.. what I find really fucking irritating in this game is that silencers mean shit!
I’d like to approach a base and take out the menacing peeps.. but If I pop one in the head of an unsuspecting machine gunner who is moons away from the turds round the helo… THE WHOLE FUCKING BASE HEARS IT!! and then there looking for me, and can see me lying in the grass moons away minding my own business.. yeah i know some of the guards have NV Goggs.. but it seems every coont can see me no matter what!

You have to use suppressed ammo with a silencer, ie the ‘SD’ variety. See if that changes things. SP AI is uber tough, too. The first night mission just fucks me up every time.
I wouldn’t complain if their vision was impaired somehow, anyhow. Also, they’re unaffected by HDR. It’ll come with a bit of luck. The ambitions of this game are big, after all.
I just bought PC Format which has a review (88%; OFP got 79% back in the day) and an A2 sized map of the Sahrani islands

Anyhoos I’m past that night mission now *I think its the one you mean, where you drop off on a boat and have to destroy armour at a camp near a lighthouse* anyhoos.. i found an Mi17 after eventually beating the Ai who were guarding it, fly own and t***ted the base.. beats snoopin around muhahahahaha
