Sadly my pish poor virgin media connection gives me too high a ping to play on the RIP server, so I’ll just wait until we’re on ours some other time.
I bought CoD4 yesterday 😀 Unfortuantly I discovered my DVD drive is broken, so I had to download the game anyway 🙄
All installed and working now so I’ll have to start owning up the multiplayer as soon as I get the hang of the game.
I’ve enjoying the game so far but having a bit of trouble on the single player, can anyone give me some pointers?
Is it possible to turn difficulty down without restarting the game? Putting it on Hardened was a mistake.Only issues I have so far with the game is that it uses the same key for pick up enemy grenades as throw your own, so I keep accidently wasting mine.
Also the friendlies always run in front of me and the worst possible times, keep shooing them and twice I’ve lobbed a grenade literally into the face of an ally. >_>@=XDC= wild egg tamer wrote:

You may have already figured this out by now…..I installed Cod4 today and had the same issue until i pressed the Num Lock key (toggles keypad mode,) it now worked for me. I cant stand a wasd setup…its for UT poofs 😀
Ive got my mouse wheel selecting between primary gun & hand cannon but its a bitch to remember flash/frag grenades keys and the rocket launcher of which i still have yet to use. Bash the keyboard like a demented bi-polar drunk hopeing for the best has been my tatic today. It works sometimes.
And i only got called a noob once……and the kid appologised when i explainded how long i’d been playing, bless the little shit. 😀
One question, is there a way of inputting a server ip into the in-game browser? or is everyone using a 3rd party app like All Seeing Eye? Which by the way dosnt seem to be up to date with cod4.

COD4s so refreshing to play after all the ‘joys’ of 2142. I do love my battlefield but even on my new shiny laptop it still doesn’t run as it should. Begrudingly I’m going to have to claim it’s poorly coded. COD4 on the other hand runs like a dream (a high octane one dipped in acid, left to dry out in the sun!) I’ve no idea what I’m doing but it’s good to see the same things in this game as some of the others I’ve played with y’all. Wipers still claymores…Insane still moans 😉 , haven’t seen those MADMAXX haxs yet? Was a bit of a shock to the system when my cries of “Medic!” went answered. Love the Last Stand thing.
Looking forward to getting in a lot of games on this.
