I think weapon unlocks are a welcomed idea, especially when a game isnt big enough to base how good you are on time played, if it can be done within the week – you may aswell chuck in the whole customize/upgrade weapon system, but then, it would depends on what kinds of customization and upgrades we’re talking here – nothing to OTT thanks.
Played MoH a bit more for an hour or 2 over the weekend. 3rd mission was great, the market garden level -ace map. But at the end of level 4 the cretins have put in a nazi supersoldier who has a hip mounted mg42 and a gas mask which appears to be bullet proof – he can take about 4 head shots before going down. I know it’s an arcade game but for f***s sake. I can put up tih this thing from RtCW because that didn’t make any pretence to be based on anything remotely realistic, and it had leather wearing nazi tarty bits in it which more than made up for it.

I loved Market Garden too.. although failed to do 2 of the thingies.. how I managed that i dont know.. will try it again when I finish the game 🙂
I experienced the close combat glitch also.. 6 shotgun blasts later and the arms length german was still alive shooting me! piss!

Yeah Amazon is full of 1 star reviews for MOH Airborne because of the number of vid cards it doesnt support. To be honest I thought the demo was shit. Far too easy on expert (except for the ocassional uber aim of the guy on the MG42 🙄 ), dull linear gameplay and below standard graphics.
I’ll save my pennies for Brother in Arms Hells Highway / the COH sequel to get my WW2 fix.

blame the Unreal Engine or ATI’s older cards not supporting shader model 3.
Have to agree about it being too easy and too short, but thought the railyard and the last mission in particular were tops.
