Dont forget his teleport skates hack too.
Oh and i own in a squad i’ll have you know 🙂
It’s also important to mention his rear view mirror hack too. It’s like he’s been taken from behind far too many times.

January 27, 2012 at 8:17 am #80662Cha0sEngineParticipantFinally got it all together….
Final spec came in as:
I5 2500k
16GB Ram (with fucking massive heatsinks! look closely youll see i had to remove the (ghey) sinks from one, the one under the cooler)
GTX460
120GB SSD
3TB Disk
SG05BB caseIts got a 450 W psu so dont know if i could have gone slightly higher on the graphics card. Heat may be the enemy here. We shall see…
Some pics if anyone is interested..
January 27, 2012 at 8:25 am #80663XDCMcQueenParticipantOooo i like that !
January 27, 2012 at 8:29 am #80664Cha0sEngineParticipantyeah! im quite pleased with it.
the only thing that dissapoints slightly is the 3tb drive.
its not the drives fault.. just that windows dosent seem to recognise more than 2tb of it..maybe i formatted wrong or havent set something int he bios.. but anyway.. ive got more space than i need with 2tb and ill figure out the rest when i need it.
might get to see how it handles bf3 tomorrow 🙂
January 27, 2012 at 3:10 pm #80665Beer_MonsterParticipantLooks Ace.
Can you also take pic’s of the molten mess BF3 may make of it. When things get frantic on BF3, my system can get a tad toasty 🙂
January 27, 2012 at 3:15 pm #80666Cha0sEngineParticipantIll be sure to do that 🙂
I just figured out the final cost… its somewhere between 794 and 795.. 😳
Should i be embarrassed that i spend that much on this?
if it plays bf3 on high with no issue (i mean none at all) ill be happy..
if it plays on anything above high (without the aforementioned meltdown) ill be ecstatic.January 27, 2012 at 7:43 pm #80667LammieParticipant@Cha0sEngine wrote:

January 27, 2012 at 9:06 pm #80668Cha0sEngineParticipantMotherboard and case from mini itx.com
Rest from overclockers and scanScan came up cheapest most of the time.
Going to fire up bf3 tomorrow.;-)
January 28, 2012 at 9:29 am #80669XDCiNSANEParticipantlooks reet
January 28, 2012 at 9:25 pm #80670Cha0sEngineParticipantGot a quick go just now..
1680*1050
40+fps
50c cpu
65c gpu
That’s on high
Ultra gets me 30fps Max and some ghosting or something.Very nice on high settings tho.
January 28, 2012 at 9:45 pm #80671LynxParticipantNice little system you’ve built there!
March 30, 2012 at 2:40 pm #80672Cha0sEngineParticipantupdate::
I realised this morning (having left the machine on to download the latest mega patch) that I had neglected to setup the power options in win7.. so i was running on a “balanced” power plan.. ive changed it to “performance” and things are even smoother.. its still not fantastic on Ultra but fps was mid 30s.
