get on our server and have a go.. I’ve just messed about with the settings to make it nice and none n00bable! 🙂
Must say really enjoying COD4, think Mike has perfected the server settings, had some good games with you lads tonight.
Could this be the game we all play in union, lets hope so, its been to long.
I have been playing a bit of the sp on my TBYB copy lol and its very good and it runs really well, Quite amazed that I can run this at 1600×1200 with decent fps with plenty of action onscreen and yet I am struggling to get TF2 to do 30fps at 1024×768 lol
Well I did manage to add the XDC server to my favourties so I am able to play on it. So that’s good news.
The bad news is that I have quickly come to hate this pointless grenade spamming, spray n pray on crowded servers with tiny maps where even the lure of getting a new scope for my gun isn’t enough of a draw to drag me back in (and as you can imagine, I really wanted that scope).

thats why probably Insane brought down our own server to the barebones minimum: hardcore, no ‘nades etc, essentials of the game and I think it is broadly enjoyed
Indeed I did.. there no nades at all on XDC server, no xhairs, no arty.. pretty sexual if i do say so meself
iv been on a few servers with the same settings (before i managed to find out one) however, alot have 1 grenade per person, is there any reason why we dont have this – but instead have none at all? out of plain curiosty.
basically because we are men not girls.. 🙂 I did ask on TS and the popularity said its ok as it is.. we do have flash, stun and smoke though.. just no blowy uppy nades.. I can change if anyone wants em …
If you have any suggestions to make it better.. please do so in the COD4 settings bit of forum (under XDC Admin)
If the demo works on my pc will the full game? According to one of those scanning sites, I just dont make it, but the demo works… (and is fucking ace!!)
Turks my old Radeon 9800 could run COD4 lol and thats the bare minimum required to run it. I now have my X1950XTX and it runs pretty much the same except I am running at 1600×1200 instead of 1024×768 🙂
Its a very well designed game from the hardware point of view and scales very well. Hell i cant run TF2 at 1600×1200, fps dies on it when it gets busy.
