I’m a newbie starting corp since i got removed from the corp i use to be in.

I’ve asked around on the EVE recruitment forums got a couple of replys. So i’m not sure whats going on though.

Be nice to get everyones name though and add them to my friends list.

Looks like Alzir is planning for this.

The corp we are in is in an alliance and i think this is what we will need, we cant survive very well if were on our own.

Legit seems to be training up the corp skills to be our figure head lol.

I always wanted to get a corp going for XDC, so it’s good to see we’re making some tracks that way :). For me it’s more a long term goal though for a few reasons.

First, we’re nowhere near the skill level for running a decent corp, and funding needs to come from somewhere. The best way to get funding is mining, so we need high skills there, and that would then allow us to consider running a POS (although as Hippo says that’s a lot of work).

For entertainment value (and easy funding) we will also need 0.0 access, which means an alliance. Obviously Hippo, Mugs, and myself are in an alliance at the moment but only Hippo is well known in it so negotiating for a new corp to be admitted will require a little more work making contacts. I’m sure Hippo would help us out with what he can, if we were to take this route, but as far as the XDC corp goes I think we’d be on our own. He’s been there a long time with the same group of people so I can’t see him wanting to leave them (correct me if I’m wrong of course :)). I’m also getting quite friendly with the guys in his old corp and have no real desire to leave them yet either.

The timescale I’m thinking we would need to get all this sorted is around 6 months. That would give us time to get enough game experience under our belts, and also all our skills up to a good level. With the new corp Legit’s just made that should provide some practice and insight into what is needed to take us to a high level. Mugs and myself in the meantime will be getting plenty of experience in how 0.0 and alliance stuff works, as well as how to pvp. The killer question though is how many of us will still be playing eve in 6 months time. If we don’t have enough we may want to abandon the idea, but in that case it should be fairly easy to get whoever’s left into at least another corp in our alliance, if not the one we’re in presently.

6 months?……i very nearly quit last night after legit dragged me into an encounter with a pirate base and got killed before legit even got out of warp 😛 …………….my 2nd Omen destruction within 24 hours. 😕

seriously though, i envisage myself playing for the forseeable future, but i just don’t seem to be making any money what-so-ever, which is a bit of a problem as i’m 4 million ISK in the hole with Matt, and i’m a bit worried he’s gonna send the boy’s with baseball bats round to collect.

/me shut’s the curtain’s, turns the lights off and wait’s in a darkened room with a kitchen knife. 😯
