That’s some channel! 8)
Just got kicked off an hilarious server. 46 noobs running around in the dark on a map whcih includes continuous spawning trucks about 100ft in the air. Underneath is like a truck bonfire. I had to search for a working truck and then hope I could manoeuvre it out.
First time, I was just driving for half an hour and repaired a tank before some git tked me and my truck. I got -1 there for a good round. Maybe I ran someone over? You respawn without night vision… Trucks fallingout the sky, a guy shooting down a fully loaded chopper… democratically kicked.
I even shot an enemy who was using a human shield. I thot the civilian was an officer and aimed for him, killing the soldier behind him, then realised he was a civ and that was like cool or something. And then i died.
Haven’t worked out a way to set my game name yet.

The games looking very good, but christ on a bike it hard. done the 1st campaign mission and a sniper mission, but doing a 3rd where i gotta destroy some armoured vehicles in a compound, and bam, 1 shot killed. 😡
Beer.. mooch of to the camps on the left.. own the first camp then proceed left.. own the bigger camp *its difficult but not as difficult as the one the armours in* anyhoos my point.. it has a Mi17!!! Get in that,. fly to original target and let fly with the rockets!

omg this mission is solid. i can detpack 1 and rocket another but then i get owned
i haven’t even managed to get in the armoured camp yet, i can take out 2 armor with the rocket launcher, but then the emeny seem to come out of nowhere and kill me almost instantly. I remember OP being the same, i hope it’s just a case of getting used to the game, otherwise i’ve no chance of completeing 1/2 the maps.
Oh and WTF’s going on with the choppers, uber hard to control.
Double post… I was sure I posted a reply but it wasn’t there when I checked back, so I wrote it again. Turned out to be my router needed a restart.

Man, I’m with you there. I’ve been on that mission since last Saturday. I can detpack 1 and rocket 2, but there’s always someone out-circling me. And I’ve done some pretty big circles, lol.
Spent about 6 hours yester playing a convoy ambush mission “Desert Ambush”. Most of the time we were jsut lying low in the rocks, more-or-less avoiding L113B patrols. I only saw the convoy 3 times and they only ever came near being ‘ambushed’ once. But what a laugh. And I got to show off my XDC vehicle badges. They’re good on the Sopwith Camels too.
This game has forced me to get savvy with video card specs… Messy, I think you might be suffering from a lack of Vertex Shader pipes. The 9600XT apparently has just 2 (you’re on AGP?). The other uncool thing in it is the 128bit memory bandwidth. My 6600GT has 3 vertex pipes, 128bit b/width and half your RAM, and gives a fair framerate except on capture the island 50+ players. My research showed that a good card to get is a 2nd hand 6800GT. Definitely need 256bit bandwidth, definitely DDR3. It’s got 6 vertex pipes. Even my new one has ‘only’ got 8. A 6800 Ultra would ultra-rock, but then you’re unlikely to find one for a bargain. Some 6800’s come with 512MB DDR3, too. eBay ftw.
Also, you’ll be suffering from the foreign try-before-you-buy version being 1.01 or 1.02. V1.04 apparently made a good bit of difference. V1.05 is coming out any moment for all versions, and promises more optimisations and more video options.
