Tomorrow night at the casino round from you…
Texas hold em 20 quid buy in, 1 rebuy…. need to be there by 19:45. Should be fun.

I am on a high after beating 28 people at the last local tourney – won 100 quid (knocked out 11 people myself.)
I played in a 37 player tourney the other day was live game £5 plus unlimited rebuys and add on for £10 , I did not rebuy and was one place away from final table and had a pair of 5’s button just called i checked…. I hit my set , I checked button raises , I push all in , Button calls , I show set of 5’s he shows q-10 pairing a 10 on the flop (oh happy days) the turn comes a 10 giving me the full house! hurrah I cant loose now 😀 river is a 10 , giving him quads . no final table for me .
He then Takes a photo of it 😡 and goes on to win the tourney by playing the heads up part by going all in with out looking every time .Lol – its an evil game eh? 😆
I only play live…. very interesting psychology at work that fascinates me. Though bad beats like the one you just described make you want to cry! 👿
Tried a wee bit on party poker once and found it became very boring very quickly.
I’m well up for the next one (though I’m sure I’ll only be in for the first hand as I’m gawd-awful at poker.)
hmm’d and ha’d about this all day Doc (ID issue aside), but decided in the end to stay in given I got so pissed last night, and I didn’t want to start the process all over again with an early start in the morning. I’ll get my replacement passport/driving licence and hopefully can make it the next time your over.

Interesting night. 30 people playing, top prize over 600 quid. i came to the final table with the highest chip count 🙂
Got myself knocked out in 7th place though – only won 40 quid. I was in the small blind up against the big blind. I had A 7… would not normally play it, but I read the guy for a stone cold bluff. I read him wrong 😈
Bad attitude from some players though. i play aggressive poker, and a few players didn’t seem to like it. Some people just can’t play it as a game… take things WAY too personally. I felt like smacking one guy who kept making snide comments all night, but tried to let it pass 👿 I had a word with the manager about him afterwards – apparently he is always like that (surprised they don’t ban him.)
Anyway Matt – see you next time, might be a few months away though.
