Anyway me and mate were talking about this last night and reckon that’s it’s been done in order to keep peoples interest until 2142 comes out.

So have these been substantiated yet?
I dont play for stats and hours and all that, I play because I enjoy the game much as I did for BF1942 and BFV. 😀
The stats are all wrong imho – they show hom much a player plays not how good they are – it should be done on kill death ratio/accuracy/things like that – not total kills…

Think you’ll find that’s the intention, reward for time invested and to obtain certain medals you still need some skill.
If it was based on 1337ness than you’d put off loads of people that play for fun and like to pick up a medal or two on the way.
Also if the time element wasn’t there, some people wouldn’t still be striving for certain medals ribbons and would have stopped playing.
It’s good from a marketing point of view, keep people playing and they’re not playing someone elses product.
