I kind of dismissed the SP aspect of BFBC when i got it… but as I am having network issues at the moment (hopefully back to online gaming next week!) I have given it a run through.
I guess it is probably a poor mans MW2 – but I enjoyed it! Some cool battles, especially good sniper scenes, and a kooky but vaguely cohesive story.
Worth a look if you are bored.
I have also taken the opportunity to finally finish half life episode 2 – not bad either!
Am thinking of buying MW2 now that the fuss has died down just for the SP game… unless someone wants to let me borrow their copy?
May 1, 2010 at 9:57 pm #76229SilverSidesParticipantI borrowed a copy of MW2 off that interwebnet thingy and single player is indeed worth a run through….once but it is better than bfbc2 single player. 11gig download though. I’ve since deleted.

May 3, 2010 at 7:39 am #76231AnobizIIParticipantI can vaguley remember playing single player once or twice lol
May 4, 2010 at 12:14 am #76232xdc the docParticipantYeah – check it out! Seriously!
I reinstalled Cyrsis today I was so bored. No one gonna give me a loan of MW2 you selfish gits? I could supply Call of Juarez, of Empire total war as a swap 🙂
Speaking of which… I was a bit pissed of with Empire after a while and vowed not to get sucked in again… but….
Napoleon does sound very good – and they promise they have fixed a lot of the Empire problems. Can I believe it or not? And are sea battles still utterly shite?
May 4, 2010 at 8:31 pm #76233TurksMeisterParticipantI want to get my teeth in to a good strategy game… but just prefer mp over sp…
We need an XDC strategy contingent!
May 4, 2010 at 9:13 pm #76234xdc the docParticipantYou know napoleon supports MP? Even on the campaign map?
May 4, 2010 at 9:19 pm #76235TurksMeisterParticipantCool – although never been massively gripped with the other total war games… especially the real time fighting – too slow for me…
I thought CoH was fun, but a bit too intense… Age of Empires was more my thing… I wonder if they are releasing any more along those lines…

Oh really 🙂 Have you tried it yet?
Also what’s the game like overall? And how well does it run, because Empire total war was really slow on my machine?

I thought you had some awesome machine from Greece? Or was that a long time ago!? Years are begginging to blend together!
May 6, 2010 at 7:49 pm #76238AlzirKeymasterYea, I got it in 2005 and it’s unchanged but for a new gfx card 2 years ago and 1 gb extra ram a few months ago. Over the last couple of years it’s started showing it’s age, obviously.
Still runs things pretty well though, just with some exceptions like Bad Company 2 (because it’s a crappy port) and Crysis (because it’s Crysis). Empire total war was the first regular game where I noticed performance as being slightly annoying, but then again it was an unfinished game, with all the bugs to show for it.
