Now that Doc’s back, I was wondering if you guys have started playing this again, and if not when do you want to start 🙂 I’ve seriously not played it online since the last time I was with you guys, but it’d great to get into again. Anyone fancy an XDC 2v2, 3v3 night again, and maybe a few 1v1’s against each other to shake off the rust/educate me again 🙂
Oh and btw the patches for this are a nightmare.

The 1.0 > 1.4 weighs in at 100 meg, then the 1.4 > 2.101 is 1.77 gb, and that fucked up for me when I didn’t have enough disk space, so I don’t know yet what the rest are like.
I’m up for it but I am honestly not very good at this game. I have never won an online 1v1 match 😥

Ive got a 10 gig download limit per month on this shitty broadband service.
Anyway… I am reinstalling windows this morning. Hopefully be up and running by tonight – but if i have to download a patch that big might not be online till later in the week.
Assuming my download works this time, I could send you it on dvd Doc, since it would take a huge chunk out of your monthly limit. If you were near Edinburgh you could call in and pick it up, but I take it you’re still out in the sticks if that’s the kind of net service you’ve gone for? What happens when you go over the limit btw? Do you get charged extra, or do you lose connectivity? Anyway just pm me your address and I’ll stick it in the post.
Oh and Tooth, you’ll be well within your comfort zone playing us 🙂

Sounds like my kind of RTS, not much in the sense of any kind of base building or node capturing as seen in CoH 🙂
oo ooo nice link Insane. I’ve greatly enjoyed playing COH single player and multiplayer (this is the area in which I lack skill) so I think I will get the new edition 😀 Shame the game is such a beast to run, I get some shocking frame rates if I mess about with the view 😯

one of the big patches is so people with Opp Fronts can play the OF armies against the normal armies without the opponent having OF, if you follow, so it contains a load of stuff on the new armies which you can’t actually play but can see and I think a load of the new maps.
