I’m not really big into podcasts yet (just got my first mp3 player recently ) , and certainly ones by americans about computer games have certainly never appealed, but what these guys produce is actually quite excellent.

They’re known as the dead workers society and have been making weekly podcasts for TF2 since close to release (episode 43 was last sunday). They’re long podcasts too, but are (sometimes) full of game tips (some are actually useful) and discussion, but the main attraction for me is the banter which is great 🙂 I’ve also had a chance to play on the CP servers with some of the regulars, and I really enjoyed my time there. The servers aren’t normally filled during our prime time, and the EU server seems to be mostly dead, but still it’s one extra place I’m keeping an eye on these days (even with a 200+ ping to the states). They are a bit geeky in that they can actually sit and talk about computer games at length, but they’re funny about it, and entertaining if you’re sat bored to fuck.

Anyway if you’re at all interested check them out at their main site http://www.deadworkers.com/tf2/ and if you’ve a lot of time on your hands (maybe long trip to work/shitty job) the wiki is pretty uptodate and has links to all episodes, plus other stuff http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Control_Point_podcast.

Not going to be everyones thing, but I do think they’re good, and I think I’m going to be joining in with their community a bit as they do seem very like xdc in their outlook.
