Not sure what’ll work for me now, but when I was at uni and up till 6-9am, I found the best thing was to go have a power nap, about 2hrs, and then get up and get on with my day. Sleeping longer just messes you up and wastes the day, not sleeping at all let’s you feel okay during the day but come 8pm you’re knackered

Here’s a few websites that might help Munkee:

Some advice on irregular sleep patterns

    Wear Sunglasses

    Melatonin: not great

    Net Doctor

These links are all about jet lag, but that’s very similar to what you’re experiencing.

keep ya nose clean of powder.. that should sort the trick 😉

also .. sterogen 15 *aka travel sickness pill* knocks me out and makes me all calm before getting on a plane.. might work for sleeptime 😀

2 syndol knocks me out completly but tablets should not be abbused for this matter.. there really for tense headaches 😀

    hehe

errrm no mate.. over the counter stuff.. I wouldnt go and buy em for your purpose, that woud be wrong!! just letting ya know they had drowsy effects.. them herbal sleepless nights make me a lil drowsy too.. I have to take a few though and you aint supposed to tke em more than a week

Wait till Doc see’s this and hopefully he’ll be able to advise

Hactually, have you thought of consulting your own GP.. I myself think its just gonna take time to adjust ya clock.. it would be the same for me if I suddenly had to start doing nights..

just hang in there and stay pill free

Well I dont know what hours u work so this is my routine.

I work both monday and tuesday nights and have done nights for years.

Mon; have an afternoon kip for a couple of hours sort out kids go to work
(2045-0715). Get kids sorted drop off at school in bed by 1000.
Weds I drop kids off in bed by 1000 up by 1500hours feeling like crap then procede to have a lazy day. I do find jumping in the shower as soon as poss
    helps to revive me.

Best advice get into a routine and stick to it, your body clock will adjust.
