been playing this for a couple of weeks….anyways a new version came out yesterday, which fixes a variety of things and improvements. There are still a few bugs. Version 3 will use the latest hl engine.
Quite realistic, very very hard, takes a good couple of hours to get the hang of, in this latest release teamwork is a must.

meh, i downloaded this when it 1st came out and couldn’t get into it……..i saw you playing a lot and downloaded the new beta version yesterday and had a quick 2 min go at it and it seems more confusing that the 1st version, perhaps i haven’t given it enough time or credit. I’ll get on TS when i see you on and you can run thru the ropes with me.
K m8, yes the original promised a lot and delivered fuck all, the new version has addressed most of the issues.
It is very confusing i admit, but it helps in keeping the kiddies away 😀a couple of the maps are a bit pants, but the new one with the bridge is pretty damn good.
You do tend to die without knowing where the shot came from, but you soon learn 🙄 a decent team will steamroll a average one big time, have been using the steam in game chat to great effect with a few guys.you cannot play this game as a one man army…..period, a couple of times i have tried and got mullered, stuck with a couple of guys and done fine.
it is extremely easy to get depressed playing if you are up against a good team, but exhilarating if you can turn it around.
Have been playing on and off for most of the day and am quite enjoying it….DO NOT PLAY if you only have 20mins or so, because you will get pissed off and wont pick it up again 🙄

As much as I like realism, I found this too arsey for me, I like to be able to jump in a game and at least be able to stay alive long enough to figure the game out, All I remember of this was..
Spawn, die instantly, wonder where the shot came from (if it was a shot), spawn again, DIE, wonder where that came from because your first thought was acctually a can of pop in the road not someone with a rifle, spawn, die etc etc
Not for me thanks, but I applaud your efforts on trying to find a game worth playing these days.. I’ll await your “RO” thread in the next few weeks and join you on that now that I own a PC again 🙂
Speaking of shit games, played Crysis over weekend to test out my sexual PC (I bought off OP).. what a pile of toss, they seem to have put too much effort into making it look pretty, and not enough effort into making the enemies die, takes a full clip to shoot em, esspecially after you HAVE to follow them around in your sights whilst they run around in a circle like a headless chicken, I’m sick of over hyped wank games, so glad I didnt just upgrade my PC for this or indeed buy the game, this can go into the overhyped pile of toss that is Bioshock and Halo3! Come on game developers, make a fucking game thats worthy of me playing, something inbetween RO / BF and COD4 would be nice! oh and if your reading, forget making a single player mode for it too, I only want MP! Oh and no alien guns or spaceships. come on, cant be that hard surely?
they have a spawn protection of a sorts now 🙄
i know that this isnt a game for us all to play, but one or two guys like a bit of realism, i have been playing it for a few weeks and didnt post because i knew that its a niche game and only posted because they released a new version on saturday which make it a better game.
if the time is put into it, it is quite a rewarding game ala RO, but you do need a decent attention span and a sense of direction.

probably wont pick up RO again (or a long time) best realistic fps ever, to be honest i just got too good at it after a year or so and tended to always come top and could with dazz and gra turn most games around turning certain defeat into a win. Shame because at its height our server was one of the best 8) and the best community since 1942
i shall play this for a few weeks while searching for the next great game (as if)

Maybe left for dead will be good, its getting alot of hy.. mind you so did bioshock and Halo3.. ok scratch that will wait to see what comes about when its released

Thats an impressive list of changes, might give it a go as I wasn’t overly impressed with the first outing but thats mod evolution at mod pace for you.
played sniper for the first time tonite. managed to hold the entire street for several rounds as my team kept other approches buttoned down…55-7….really hard map for marines though.
suprised myself and have added a few insurgency players to my steam friends list as they play the game with good comms, teamwork and fairly 8)

Source and will be porting to the latest engine soon (the latest tf2 one?)

What the, dunno what game you’ve seen but yeah it is, I’d say it was about as pretty as insurgency/RO/CS, you cant do pretty on a 10yr old engine 🙂
Its not about pretty, its about gameplay.
They say (not me) that it will be a nice breath of fresh air game, I aint too happy fighting zombies, but if they’ve based it on gameplay of TF2, there already onto a winner 🙂i played this when they released the first version and really enjoyed it, found it quite difficult to get into but once i did i found it really good. i might have to download the new version.
should be another update this weekend to fix a few issues…..
its a free mod guys, come and try the newest version, pop onto steam and i’ll join ya on a quite sever.
if i can get a few playing we could host it on our server just the way we want it.if any of you played AA, this kicks its arse big time imo.
need some xdc types to lay down some covering fire 😉
