There’s only one contender atm for the ultimate game of the tournament really, with the ridiculous comeback I somehow achieved vs Doc in our game last weekend. It’s a game riddled with mistakes from both sides, but I honestly believe I’ve improved immensley on the back of it, and other games during the week, especially having watched this replay.

Worth a watch also if you’re new to the game, and if anything it shows the importance of never giving up, as well as how incredibly powerful the Wehrmacht are if allowed to survive to the late game stage. I can’t be arsed picking it apart, but there are some good moments in it, just as much as there are glaring mistakes. Also, if you’re able to spot the mistakes, it a good sign of far you’ve come yourself.

Anyway, I know it’ll get at least 2 or 3 downloads, so here it is:

Replays live in your My gamesCompany of HeroesPlayback folder in XP, or equivalent in later versions of windows. Download it there, and watch via the “game history” tab on the multiplayer screen in game.

Oh and feel free to post your own replays in this thread if you had a particularly close match, or where both sides performed well. Even if you’re completely new to the game and you get badly beat, you might find it useful to have some of us watch it and pass on some tips. Don’t be afraid to post it because remember the bulk of us are at most 6 weeks ahead of you, so early lessons are fresh in the mind and easily passed on. We’re all still making the same mistakes, just less frequently because we know what they are.

The ultimate goal here, and of the tournament in general, is to introduce the 1v1 side of the game to new players, and hopefully increase the standard amongst ourselves to a level we can enjoy some competitive games like the replay posted here between Doc and me.

Of course in the grand scheme of things, we’re all at a noob level here, and it’s worth noting that by far the best resource of COH tips and strategies can be found on the Game Replays site, linked below:
