So, I introduce my Mum to the wonders of BF2 tonight. She watched, whilst I ran around killing people, handing out ammo and capturing flags as she tried to get her head round the concept.
‘So, all these little men are people like you sitting on a computer?’
‘Yes Mum’
‘So they can see what you’re doing?’
‘Yes Mum 🙄 ‘Then someone shouts at me to get in a car.
‘Oh Oh What’s he just said?’ says Mum.
Then a sniper (probably Divie) picks me off.
‘Oh No! What just happened!’ Mum exclaimed.
LMFAO She was just so impressed with the whole thing, like the first time she saw TV or something. It made me laugh. And she still can’t get her head round the concept that I’m playing with real, live people… some from another country! Haha Old People…. 🙄
lol my father is the same, been in the army his whole working life and is fascinated by the whole bf2 thing lol, but it can really annoying repeatedly being shown the flaws in my tactics or as he would call it sloppiness! If I hear the 5 p’s thing again i’ll go mad lol

My brother is in the Navy, and they can count higher than the army squaddies and so have six P’s:
– Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor PerformanceI guess the thinking is that the average squaddy can’t count on more than one hand 🙂

No, it’s worse. Our dad was in the Air Force. 😉
My brother is out of the Royal Navy now, but still at sea on dive support ships – mainly in the North Sea but occasionally ventures elsewhere. He served at the sharp end in the first Gulf War, and say’s he’ll only play Battlefield if they bring in Mine Warfare ships!
