I don’t usually do this, probably because it’s never been an option before, but as it may well genuinely help some people here bear with my “pitch” 🙂
I’ve just finished training to launch a business in Scotland on a part time basis and although this isn’t the focus of what I do there is a nice wee aspect of it which I can pass on to anyone who’s interested. Because of my terms and conditions I can’t go into too much detail on even a private forum but basically I can refer people for various types of insurance within this business model. I’m led to believe that I can introduce you to a company who will beat the price of your buildings and contents insurance 9 times out of ten, and often with better cover. I don’t like to bring finances into a personal arena but from what i’ve seen this is genuine useful for people and you’re free to make up your own mind anyway. If you’re looking around for a good quote or if you’re coming up for renewal, give me a pm and i’ll arrange something for you. Even if not coming up for renewal and you’ve not paid the premium as a annual lump sum, this may also interest you.
I would earn a commission on it but I wouldn’t post this here if I didn’t believe it could save people money. There’s also no obligation in enquiring.
Something else that may interest some people. If you happen to know anyone who is looking for another income stream, part time, let me know and i’ll get in touch with them. Although i’m building a team around Scotland right now, the opportunity is open to anyone across the uk, and particularly in england and northern ireland we have a large presence. There’s certainly the chance that i’ll need someone to help with admin in a few months time, but to what extent, I don’t know yet. I can think of a way it might be practical to do it across the Atlantic but i’d have to find out how the data protection act applies to passing info out of the country. I’ll let you know if the need arises and it passes compliance.
