Oblivion is a remote access trojan that allows an unauthorized user to copy files, delete files or directories, change your passwords and more.

Characteristics:

Oblivion is a backdoor Trojan that allows an unauthorized user to remotely access your computer. If your system is infected with Oblivion, an attacker can copy and delete files, create and delete directories, execute files, and remove the server. Oblivion will also notify the attacker when you have been infected with the Trojan via ICQ or IRC channels.

Method of Infection:

Oblivion is usually disguised as a harmless software program and is generally distributed as an e-mail attachment. Opening the attachment may cause an auto-installation process that loads the Trojan onto your computer without your knowledge or consent.
