Seems to be a problem with my RDP back home today, which I use to get around the internet filter in work, so I have to ask the question in here, instead of googling it.
After reviving Paddy in a few dodgy situations last night I was wondering how detrimental this was to the team effort. Under normal circumstances a revive brings the person back into the fight but also saves a ticket, which makes it worth taking a risk occasionally if the medic is confident he can get himself back under cover, preventing the loss of a second ticket. The revived person always springs up disorientated and it’s easy to then dash in the wrong direction and just die a second time. This is no great loss in Rush or Conquest, since the extra kill to the opposition has no real affect on the result, and your team just loses what it was going to lose without the attempt to revive, but in Squad DM, does a revive subtract the original kill from the opposition score?
Obviously there are still reasons to revive people, but I’m wondering whether I should scale back on them when there’s a good chance the revived will simply die again. The question is whether this gives the enemy squad one or two kills? Anyone know?
