Ok I thought the ts2 setup was a direct debit but it wasn’t and it ran out, so I’ve bothered my arse to upgrade us to TS3. You’ll no longer be able to join the TS2 server, so from now on use TS3, and the following IP
85.236.100.27:10727
There’s no password, and atm there’s very little on the server, as I’m struggling to figure it out. I’m ever so slightly drunk right now after the Liverpool game, so I’ll get around to sorting channels and stuff eventually, but for now we at least have comms active. Anyway, run the setup wizard when you join to sort your PTT settings if you have trouble being heard, although mine automatically imported from TS2. Let me know here of any problems.

Edit – password now applied. Imaginatively we’ve chosen “xdc” but really it’s just on to discourage the masses scrolling ts server lists. If it proves ineffective, we’ll strengthen the password.

oh nice one.. downloaded ts3 the other day and could not figure out why i could not talk to our ts2 server.. and was too lazy to try again

Actually that would be good Lammie if you could. I’ll jump on it tonight after work around 7 or 7-30 and stick around in case you get a moment. It’s the creation of channels which stick, and assigning admin to other users which I’m struggling with atm.

Yeah no worries mate I’ll pop in round 7- 7:30 . It’s not that different just the way permissions are assigned etc. Once you get your head round that it’s no biggie tbh.

If you get time to look through them it’s well worth it and should help flesh out some of the things we covered earlier tonight with regards to setting up the server channels and assigning permissions.
In case anyone was wondering, the TS server went down last night for a few hours, and I don’t know why, but the main thing is it’s back up this morning.
Major TS3 update released has rendered all previous versions obsolete, and it looks like the TS website’s been overwhelmed by demand. You need the beta21 client to connect to our server, and luckily enough Multiplay have mirrored the beta21 download here:
TS back up for anyone wondering what was going on. I had a change of debit card in the last 3 months, and payment bounced.
There’s been an outage at the multiplay datacentre which has caused our TS server to go offline for the last hour or so. They’re working on it atm but since we’re getting close to peek hours, I’m posting so people know in advance. I’ll post again once the issue’s been resolved, however they said they’d reboot it and we’d have services back in 10 or 15 minutes, 45 minutes ago.
TS has been down this morning with Mulitplay reporting network issues affecting their servers in London. They’re working on it obviously.
