    Hi all

    I have finally got around to upgrading to the latest version of the board softwware.. however, I am not sure if this will prevent the spam issues..

    they have created a new CAPTCHA settings.. however, it makes the capture so bloody hard to read no human will ever sign up

    I have scaled the captcha back to the point where humans can read it but I will be adding a security question later today

    Right update:

    I have installed a simple question type auth mod which should be better than the crappy captcha thing. Dont know why they dont use this by default but never mind
    Alzir .. keep an eye on the bots and see what happens

    well… fingers crossed it looks like no bots have signed up since the upgrade!!

    I will set the registration back to automatic for the moment and keep fingers crossed

    bloody captcha’s impossible, took me three days of trying before I got it right!
