Yeah there is a lot to learn.

I think you should turn the tutorial bot back on and go through that. it will take you a while to get through it, but it goes though how everything works in eve when you are starting out.

It takes a lot of time to be able to use all the good stuff! everything is based round time in eve.

This is the difference from Everquest or WoW which have levels.

Basically you have to decide what you want to do in the game and what race you are to start with dictates what you need to learn.

So we need to know:

What race you are and how many skill points you have trained in what?

For example with me.

I am Amarr which are ships that look the best 😛 and can only really do EM and thermal damage and use Laser turrets as their primary weapons. They also have massive power grids and armour.

So in my case I have loads of skills in energy laser turrets and armour repairing/hardening areas.

This is more important when you start off as once you have got established you could for examle learn missile skills and shield skills and the piloting skills to fly Caldari ships which are missile spammers! lol.

So we need to know what skills you have 🙂 evey module you fit on your ship and types of ships you want to fly require skills. the further up you go the skills require other skills trained to specific levels.

e.g in terms of flying ships:

Frigate -> cruiser -> battleship -> dreadnought -> carrier
-> destroyer > battlecruiser

hard to show that really as there are so many types of ship now.

but basically to fly a frigate, you need frigate command skills, to fly a cruiser you need frigate and cruiser skills. to fly a battleship you need frigate, cruiser and battleship command skills.

This works with the guns to going from small, med, large, extra large. they all require each other as you improve.

all takes time.

I like to shoot things and so do the others, so most of my skils are for combat. hence why out of the 4.2 million skillpoints i have 1.9 million of them are in Gunnery.

So Beer I would look at that and tell us what you are! and then decide what you want to do so you can train the appropriate skills.

Well I am well on my way to travelling back to empire from the south now. and I think I will definately get joined up to hippo’s alliance,

I think it will be alot of fun being able to play with people you know well.

My character is geared mainly for fighting and I should be ok to go shoot some people now. so hopefully be able to do the PvP thing better and kill those GOONS!! hehe

GOONS are enemies of ASCN also it seems, they have been raiding in the south along with Stain Empire pirates!

Dont forget the wonderful BOB too! they are pesky bunch too, dont supose you guys see them being up in the north?

what are you in game names madmax and ronathon?

I foudn someone by that name you mentioned ronathan but it looks to be active this year.

Going to try and get back into empire first. then head up north. probalbly have to chaneg corps first before i head north lol if ascn are not liked

YOu experience with the apoc doesnt sound good alzir lol.

Might be your tanking ability may be as I go in for big guns and loads of tanking.

I mean i can nicely tank 3 1.5 mil sansha beast lord BS’s.

but then i have 6800 cap size and 240 secs to fully charge it.

so high resistance on em and thermal dmg that those rats do.

I also found 5 med drones over 3 heavy seemed to work better for ripping up the frigs.

I am tempted although it would be wierd joining a small band 🙂

over 400 ppl in my corp currently and like 50 ppl in corp and 400 ppl in alliance channel normally. but then numbers are not everything.

It is nice having a good amount of space to fly around in that is owned by your alliance and plenty of friendlies around.

I have the skills to fly an inty now or training mechanic and engineering to lvl 5 from 4 (20 days) and i can fly an assault ship.

I like the big buffs they have.

I know alzir and hippo are playing together in eve, I was wondering, is max playing with you guys also and may be ronathan?

My reason for asking is whether it would became more fun in the future if I was to move up north and join with you guys.

I like the area I am in at the moment, but obviously playing with people you know is more fun! especially if I can get to grips with some PvP stuff!

My concern the the ability to generate isk by ratting. I managed okish vs angels but it was very hard. Sanshas are great for me. I can kill them fairly decisively and make nice isk. I made several million isk in 2 belts in 1 system the other day.

So really it comes down to how hard are the rats where you are to kill from an amarr perspective (thermal and em dmg)?

He needs his password lol. mind if he can remember his username then he can probably contact someone at CCP to sort his password for him or do it through the eve-o site.

Oh btw as per our chat in eve the other day. it seems our alliance that I belong to (Ascendent Frontier) is not friendly to your alliance.

Shame your all the way up north, or I could actually stand a good chance at blowing max up 😛

Stain Empire have been bashing around our space yesterday, undocked from our outpost and 3 SE cruisers were sat outside the front door!

so warped to my safe spot and then warped back in at max range as I have tachyon beam lasers fitted and started blasting them.

some more corp mates came out and pummelled them to death and now 3 frozen dead corpses lay outside our front door!
