Just using Safari myself, quite like it apart from the fact it doesn’t display half of my favorite website correctly, oh well it was nice to dream!!!!, I don’t know where they get the “It’s faster than I.E and Firefox by upto 42%” what a complete load of bollox.
Unfortunately I had a baby in one hand and a bib in the other no games for me yesterday, seriously not happy!!!
~Just on the gfx note I checked the configuration and gfx settings on RO last night and I couldn’t find anything to do with aa af and the highest it would let me go was 1280*960 or something like that, I have a 8800 gts 640, is it hidden somewhere else?
ahhhh I was wondering what that annoying whine on my speakers was I thought I must have had a bad connection or something…. 😉
Badger I played it for about an hour yesterday for the first time, gfx very basic reminded me of Vietcong, but I gotta say I bloody enjoyed it, nice to lead your rifle on someone from around 300 metres pull the trigger and bang dead very cool apart from the times when that happens to you then it’s a case of WTF you lucky sod..:-)
Must admit I’d be suprised if you see me playing BF2142 much now which actually might be a relief for a few of you guys 😯

Well in reply to Neon, I have finally got my 8800 working ok in Bf2142, now before we start this problem I had was only with BF2142, everything else runs at top whack with my new gfx card, My solution was the new Nvidia drivers(beta) and a copy of Riva tuner and a bit of tinkering.
It seems to me that with my 7800(from Darthtater) and my 8800 in Bf2142 there’s been absoulutley no increase in performace albeit every other game flys with the new card. I have just stuck with 1024*768 with no AA and everything else stuck to max.
With BF2142 the Rivatuner program “REALLY” helped in regards to Bf2142 if not in performance definately in supposed lag and stability issues, The lag is now stable and my ping is hovering around 17-19 before that it was fluctuating between 45-90, weird but that has now gone since tinkering with the card and riva. Hope this helps Neon.
gutted it’s been the only game I’ve been waiting for for a long while, to be expected I imagine, Also I hope it doesn’t suffer from Stalker syndrome when it takes that long to come out the game is past it’s sell by date
First thing I would do is change the Stock processor fan for something else, e.g Zalman reason why I say this is, is that I have pretty much the same system as your building and the Stock fan on my Duo 2 is absolutley pathetic. If you want to do even slight OC’ing you will start to get errors from the CPU. Also I’ve found it’s just best with the stock fan to run it at full whack otherwise BF2142 locks up..
