Is it me or does anybody else think BF2142 is a big steaming pile of shite at the moment, it seems to have lost some of it’s allure at the moment.
The servers seem to be full of all the usual retards(myself included) and just for fun another boatload just to make it even worse.Anyway I’m off to play some RO as soon as I can figure out this bloody link that NOM gave me..

Yeah its going through a bad patch. There aren’t as many xdc playing as usual for whatever reason, but yesterday was particularly shit for the retards. I kicked about 5 or 6 people in the space of an hour. 🙄
I was wondering what the future holds for the BF series? I thought we would have heard by now if there was a new project in the making. Anyone know? Lammie?

Well I hope they come up with something soon as I’m going cold turkey right now through lack of BF2142, although I’m sure the wife doesn’t miss me getting angry. I’m also pining for banter over TS so much that I’m tempted to ring Pharty’s 0898 number called “What do you want you stupid blaady walaby shagging arse bandit?” for some abuse. I’m also missing out on Wipers lovely, lilting Scottish accent.
I’ll probably go to the dark side for a bit and join Darth nOm and his Imperial cohorts having a go at RO, although I’ll need to find the time to play and get into it when I’ve got a free weekend. I get the impression that’s a game that’s not ‘pick up and play’ like the BF series.
Although I must admit that Quake Wars: Enemy Territory is starting to look a bit good to me, and that’s got monsters and lasers in it!?!?!?! Regardless what happens though I’ll just play what XDC hosts, because you guys are the best.

havent had to ban anybody for a day or so…must be mellowing in me old age……kicking on a regular basis mind you, mostly for not saying sry for tk’s and team switching…trying to be as lenient as possible with all the new guys playing it….must admit that our server is up there with the best of em when it comes to teamplay…my mics down at the mo so my ranting obcenities have ceased (which generally means we lose:))
What with the nipper and all, its hard to get on to play these days, although Im hoping for some BF action tonight.
Its also summertime now, and it always quietens down for summer. Plus the game is getting a bit stale. Plus I am fookin busy at the moment
compared to the recent BF games, the gfx are pretty basic and it hasn’t got the squad system but it has got decent balance, the planes are fun to fly and the maps are very good…………theres also a fair amount of mods out, one of which is forgotten hope (coming to BF2 soon…maybe :wink:) which has given the game a good deal of longevity………..

RO has several mods coming out in the near future, has plenty of quality custom maps and has the best devs of any game company ever.. they play on our server on occassions, they have the license to the new unreal engine(since RO release) but have promised continued support through 2007, the latest update includes 10 community maps optimised by the devs and various fixes they have optimized the engine to include upto 64 players which is a massive feat as you have real time ballistics etc, once you have the game set up graphical this game has the best weapon skins of any game, played with the right ppl this game is without doubt my best ever gameing experience since bf1942… tactical,teambased,gritty and realistic …nuff said

Like Pharty I’m just too blinkin’ busy to play at the moment. If I didn’t have the frame rate problem with 2142 I would be more tempted to have a go in those odd minutes that I do have.
I got COH a few weeks ago, and haven’t even had the time to get past the first tutorial 🙁
Ah well, someone’s got to keep the wheels of industry turning…..
