Let me know a time you will be on and I’ll make sure I’m about. Adding friends to your friends list only works when they’re online. Also, I’m not on Steam which is why it’s good to sign in to TS. I’m usually about after work so after 5:30 ish.
Stuff learnt from previous verions does work. I tell you what I did have to learn (or unlearn) is the way I played COD on the Xbox. Cover and such things are fantastic on this game, running between trees, boxes, and houses. I found the beginning weapons a struggle till I got a nice little red dot sight. I started playing off non-hardcore, then hardcore (so the other guys died quicker), but now I’m happier on non-hardcore because I love the idea of spotting, having a map,a nd being able to see how much ammo I’ve left.
The maps were a nightmare when i started off. So many times I wished my soldier could rip out his iPhone and load up Google Maps to tell me what way i should be running. Rush is quite handy a mode to start with as I found I’d learn the maps quicker this way not wondering of lost like a total numbnutz.
I was the exact same. Load up game (first one on PC for a while) feel super confident….into game

And so on and so forth. But these days i’m not too shabby and can actually top the scoreboard, sometimes.Best advice mate, badger the gits around here with me to get on TS so we can run around in a squad!
Actually had some real good games today with The Legend Wavy and El Sprogo. Sorry for some of the goalie mistakes but it’s proper fun.
Gotta admit that does look pretty decent. I’ve been debating with getting some sort of projector for a while but it took me long enough working out which HD T.V I wanted. Hmmm would be nice to have for Christmas? So now you’ve been using it for a while what’s important and what’s not, what should I look out for/

I’ve never been too bothered with people cheating on this game. Usually there’s enough people running about that I know at least some aren’t. I see detection software flash up sometimes indicating someone’s been nabbed.
But yet, would be good see you on the battlefield mate. I need someone I can use as cover 🙂

Online – Head to head is pretty fine these days.
Online team clubs (which most of us here are for) Can be alright, can be a nightmare. Biggest problems – 3 second button lag, 5 second button lag, only some of your club mates keeping a connection. It really is very random who and when will get it. Some micro-pause issues too.Some people have a real issue with this game and the passing/some love the new harder passing.
If you have faith that EA will fix the lag issues then I would buy it and build up your Be A Pro in the mean time. But you might be better off waiting till after the patch and hearing if they’ve actually sorted it out.
I played over 1000 games on FIFA 10 but despite loving FIFA even I can’t be bothered playing this till they release the patch. Just too soul destroying.

UPDATE Oct 25
– Getting closer to the point where we can submit the patch to our first party partners;
– We will communicate on content and release date shortly – first we need to make sure Microsoft and Sony are happy with what’s in the patch;
– Of note, I am looking at the leaderboards and, well, some of the top ranked players should expect something to happen to their accounts ASAP… something not nice at all.…hmm so it doesn’t look good then for before the end of the month. I believe MS take at least 5 days to approve this stuff?
