phart – i have no problems running the site at all – i just need the details for the new webspace and I can have thing swapped over in a few hours – it will also allow me to be less conservative on the settings side and have more mods / tweaks to the site.

if you can get me the details i will sort the rest.

while i appreciate where you are coming from there are a few things to consider

1) when someone signs up for the forum they have no idea that the last stage will be a manual registration therefore there is nothing to put people off from joining.
2) we get about 1 sign up per fortnight most of which are authed straight away unless i have reason to be suspicious
3) we have never allowed guest posts so anyone who ever read the forum needed to join anyway
4) the only audience we have lost is readers

having said that we can go back to the way things were if we can clear out most of the blatantly illegal stuff – we will always have xdc:chat section to put anything like that in

Very good story – few unexpected twists and turns… better than some books I’ve read lately. I didnt really like the way the story unfolded through the dictaphone diaries though… I can see why they used that particular plot device… but surely theres a more elegant solution to explaining back story to players?

what else can they use? i agree that it is getting cliched but there are only so many alternatives and i think it beat endless cut scenes with dodgy acting.
