i checked back on those details. The cpu is the standard one they do now on their overclocked range; either that or the i7 and also the DVD isn’t blue ray at all it’s just listed as DVD/blue ray. I could go for the standard CPU then in which case i could choose to have an ivybridge over a haswell.
The overclocked cpu’s are clocked up from 3.2ghz to 4.2ghz, would that give me noticeable gains? I imagine that having nigh on an extra 1ghz of cycles would help with certain tasks though not sure about gaming.
Hope you’re well doc. long time no chat. 🙂
that oc does make a big difference, some games will make more of it than others but you do notice the difference

Participantyou mean you have time to spend your new ladies money in the bars while you get to know the locals 🙂

Participantyou probably dont want to turn off the ingame voice. its really useful especially on decent servers where people are using it properly and not just to talk crap. having squad leaders and a commander that use voice chat makes a big difference

Participantit will all depend on the games and the cost of the games. if really good games are released for it and at a sensible price it could become popular.
however i have no idea why anyone would ever want to get into the handheld market as its so dominated currently by ipads and mobiles

The cooler is fine. To be homest, i was lazy this time. Lat time i had water cooling, i bought a £300 custom loop and manually overclocked the cpu and gpu. This time, i bought a pre overclocked bundle from scan that guarantee a stable 4.5 ghz overclock. It seems quiet but i keep the case fans on high and they are definitely louder.
The H70 looks cool though 🙂
those guaranteed overclocked bundles are great. yeah you can save a bit by doing it yourself but its a PITA and takes ages. plus its not fun for me anymore 🙂
