i enjoyed d2 but wasnt a mad fan. i will get d3 at some point but not immediately, and was never taken by the whole real money trading system that they planned to have.

now that i have BF3 installed again after having to format my OS drive (damn thing stopped booting about a week ago and i had to redownload and install BF3 and origin even though it was present on my second HDD) i will be jumping on this weekend hopefully for a game or three
the other thing to be aware of is running pingtest during the evening when you are experiencing the problems. when i was with virgin the connection was fine during the day but it would deteriorate rapidly at peak times. fine for downloading things, but actually playing was awful due to the ping and packet loss
Syndicate was a great game but it’s like all old games, the rose tinted goggles make them seem so much better than they were. Gameplay is usually very limited by today’s standards.
The new syndicate is pretty good fun in coop
i really want a set of these as the sound quality on them is ace. tried some shortly after they were released and a friend bought them. really confortable too.
the other thing to remember is that you can swap the sniper rifle for a sub machine gun or a shotgun and go close range. load up on extra grenades, motion beacons for extra points. that way you can get points for the recon class on maps where sniping isnt the best course of action.
i have a beta code for GO and i really dont like it. there is nothing new, and this is a game that was developed in 1998! secondly the controls are really sluggish, the graphics are nothing special. it looks like its only 5 vs 5 (may just be the beta)
will be passing on this one. and i loved cs. played way too many hours on it
That’s true max, but the core gameplay wasn’t altered. They aren’t going to change the flag layout on the maps for example or add commander. They will add tweaks and hangs weapon/vehicle stats but nothing core gamePlay wise
that was an incredibly poor post mortem, dont get me wrong i know what goes into industry post mortems and a lot of it they wouldnt be willing to talk about. however the complete lack of any sort of issues that occurred during development were mentioned and there were a shed load.
i love the game, but it could have been so much more had they not used the same design system for the consoles for the pc. a lot of things were a step back from bf2, lack of commander, lack of being able to edit setting outside of being in game. i really like the battlelog process and can see a lot more games using a similar system in the future but it does need a little more thought into how it functions.

the need for cash overcame me in the end 🙂

yeah thats very true, and is the reason i played eve for 7 years. not something i have done with any other mmo.
