I don’t want to bang on about this but most of us have used TS (happily) for years. Like Lammie said the codec used by default on our TS server was CELP 5.1 which is one of the lower quality ones – probably implemented when it was first setup as people were still on 56K connections and bandwidth was crucial. I noticed the Vent server is using a GSM codec – so its no wonder it sounds better. TS has many codecs inc GSM of varying qualities. It might have been an idea to change the TS server channels to a better quality codec to see if there was an improvement first?
Don’t get me wrong – I’m not a TS fanboy – I don’t give a monkeys chuff what comms server we use – but now a lot of people are going to have to faff around with install, settings, wondering if its going to work in game etc etc when one of us (with TS server admin rights) could have just made a simple CODEC change on the TS channels…

like the TS one.So its on Ventrilo now? This is going to confuse the feck out of loads of people. How about a few days warning and say switching it for a days testing over the weekend? 😉
Also you might want to think about using a different password than the server admin one. Esp as we have TS regulars who aren’t XDC?
Btw I mean the 2142 comms server.

Well I for one would like to see more of Lord Von Phartsbury’s tales from the City. Even his own forum on the site (well we have one for fishing ffs 🙄 ). He could use it to dispense sage advice on sartorial matters, the art of pipe smoking, and promote the Way of the Phart in political discourse.
It would be a darn sight better than reading this bollocks.

You playing this with a zboard mike? Is there a downloadable keyset for it?
