First of all – that’s a great gif Insane but it stops about 3 seconds too soon.

My mate got in The Sun a bit ago for doing “Jackass” style stunts whilst at work at Tesco and posting them on Youtube.

Then last week my other mate got on the news for posting clips of him and his mates tying up an apprentice at work and setting his boots on fire.

I thought it was all very funny but the missus wasn’t impressed.

hehe Lensman no that wasn’t me – first off I wouldn’t be going that slow (on my last bike) and secondly I would have edited out setting off from home!!

It is kidna funny how they make out that he is going fast past a school though – I mean ffs the kids are in the school not in the middle of the road as he passes!?! Yes he goes fast past a housing estate, but why is that bad? Not like he is going fast through the houses!!

Admittedly it is kinda stupid to be doing this stuff and it ain’t the kinda shit I do every day for the sake of it, have to be in the mood etc… but it’s also stupid to call it dangerous when it’s actually safer for a biker than going slower!!

Oh well – I can’t do any of that shit now anyways, this bike has a top speed of 110mph and takes it’s time getting there, but the brakes are so uber trick to even go that fast then stop I’d be right over the handlebars anyway, so it really isn’t worth it. I did go down the main road in the town centre sideways today though 😈 Not intentionally! 😆

It’s the going 30mph which gets you crashed into by other drivers…

They don’t see you coming because they don’t look (ICE/Phones), they don’t hear you coming (ICE/Phones) because your revs are too low….

You survive going fast because people get the fuck out of the way. They see you coming up in their mirrors because they look… they look because they hear the engine screaming like a banshee… they hear you because your revs are high and you’re moving like a bat out of hell… to top it off you’re also overtaking… not even using the same patch of road as those guys so for all intents and purposes you’re parallel, you just have to keep an eye out for oncoming traffic and not risk it if it’s on a hill or a blind bend… Most importantly you’re survivng because there are no mistakes, you’re just moving, albeit faster.

You only don’t survive if you fuck up and if you fuck up then you shouldn’t have been riding beyond your abilities and deserved it…. I’m not saying I’m the best rider in the world, but if I know I can take x section fast I do, if I know I may run into trouble, I don’t…. As for the guy dying on the Fireblade.. well being on a Fireblade and in an Urban envornment then it was also destined to happen, for actual real-life road riding (like a twat) you need something capable of actually going around corners as wel las stopping, more along the lines of a 600-750cc bike which is not as fast at top speed, but is a lot better for the twisty stuff. A Fireblade is for a track for people trained to ride them on the track, no matter how good people think they are a Fireblde really doesn’t belong on most UK roads… but smaller track bikes built to actually stop and turn do 🙂

Lets go 30mph then slow down for traffic ahead – oh yes the twat behind me was either too busy on his phone or doing whatever the fuck mongrols in cars do, because he doesn’t brake and shunts me from behind. Good fun being sandwiched between 2 cars =/ Then lets set off down the road, oh look a car is coming and wants to park on my side of the road, oh wait, it’s pulling INTO me!! Surely it could have waited the 0.7 seconds untill I had passed? Surely if the driver actually looked at what the fuck he was doing and actually thought about it I wouldn’t have ended up £5k down and bouncing off his car with my face??? That’s not even counting the umpteen times of near misses by some fucking moron too busy doing everything else except being a good driver.

I don’t need stabilisers… everyone else needs to get the fuck off the road untill they can actually pay attention at what they’re doing… seriously most people only buck up to pass their test then drive without due care or attention for the rest of their motoring lives shortly after. I’ll have you know no matter what speed I go at, I always indicate when approapriate, I always check my mirrors, I always cover my brakes when needed and I always perform my lifesaver and most importantly I’m always scanning the road ahead and behind so I know wtf is going on around me…

We’re in a 30mph zone.. people do 40… we’re in a 40mph zone… ppl do 40… we’re in a 50mph zone… ppl do 40… we’re in a national speed limit zone… ppl do 40… we’re going around some corners… oh yeah let’s not indicate and lets not have full control of our vehicles by using our mobile phones… oh yes lets not look where we are going and chat to our mates and pay no attention to driving whatsoever!! What do we do when you’re driving too slow for the speed limit? Then of course we have to overtake, but then it’s more dangerous because it’s not by choice and chances are there will be very few windows to do so and do it safely… The very fact is that those ppl out for a sunday drive are actually causing accidents by taking it slowly instead of at the legal limit….

I’ve done 120mph in a 30mph zone upteen times and I’ve never crashed once nor have I endangered anyone, atleast no one but myself. Infact the only reason I go fast to start with is because I’m pissed off playing by the rules and getting shafted each and every time. I will die on my bike, but because I choose to – What I will not do is endanger anyone else. I do these things when I’m confident no one else will get hurt and only then when I feel I am good and ready. There are people out there who will do this regardless whether anyone else could get hurt or not as they really couldn’t give a fuck and in some ways I don’t blame them, but at the same time I am not them. Even then when I do have fun overtaking, I only overtake if there is more than a 2 second gap between the 2 vehicles ahead so I have room to pull back in safely witout being too close to either vehicle… I would do some things on my bike people could say is crazy and they wouldn’t do any of that shit, but I can just as easily say the same about other people on different things on their bikes…

Riding fast past a school = no problem, as the poeple are in the school not in the road…. may not be wise @ start/end time with all the women drivers about and people crossing, but the fact a school is there is irrelevant unless they’re doing 100mph when they kids are actually crossing the roads. Riding fast through a housing estate = no problem, as people live in the houses, not in the fucking streets! Riding fast down any road is fine… because the pedestrians are on the pavement?? Anyone with a pair of eyes can see someone heading towards a crossing and slow down, but any pedestrian wandering into the road without looking are asking to be chopped up….

Speeding is a lot safer in many ways, it’s the consequences if something goes wrong which are exponentially worse… but saying that I’ll end up just as dead doing 30mph down the road and getting rammed by some other meathead in a car =/

It’s not to impress you, as I really couldn’t give a shit whether you are impressed or not. I do it because I like to and I choose to, not because I feel the need where I have to just to show off or somethign gay like that… mentioning it is only stating a fact, it’s not braggign rights or anything as every last one of you could just as easily take to the roads and do the same… but it is damned good fun, which is something you really can’t experience looking at footage…

The only way going slower can be safer though is because you take less damage physically due to the lesser impact – but then the catch is you also get hit by more morons so it happens more often =/ Going faster you crash less but if you do crash it’s a helluvalot worse….

Doing everything right has only got me 2 crashes – the last pretty serious, on top of a crapload of near misses. Doing everythign wrong = no crashes, no near misses…

And as for showing off – that’s exactly my point. When you show off you ain’t wired right, but when you’re in the mood and no one is pushing you to do it, you do it at your own pace and in your own time to please yourself. You don’t force yourself into the super risky stuff for the sake of looking good, because there is no one watching 😉

Also – ppl do get the fuck out of the way 😛 Seen it happen for me waay too many times for it to be a coincidence 😉

For the car pulling out on him then when he was speeding it’s fair game – when something is coming at you it’s not always easy to judge it’s speed so perhaps the driver thought he had plenty of time to get across, yet when this happened on me I was doing 30mph in a 30mph zone – I was on good behaviour because of the speed cameras.. yet the cock pulls into me when I’m 1/4 second off being parallel to him wtf =/ But still … a Fireblade doesn’t belong on our roads whether you are trained or not, if you want to really road race on a bike actually built for the roads, then the Triumph Daytona 675 is what you’re after 😛

I anticipate all the time, except it’s hard to anticipate people not braking when there is a line of traffic ahead and it’s also hard to anticipate someone pulling out right into you when anyone who was remotely intelligent would wait the second untill you passed!!
