Is PCI the same as AGP? as in take out the graphics card? If not … the same thing happens… errr…. unless you mean hard drives too… what exactly am i doing again?!
So… if its not the Ram, and not the GPU, would the next logical step be the CPU?
The fan appears to be doing its job, and when I keep it running in the Bios, the temp stays at about 55*C… which isnt too bad is it? Is it possible that when the windows scrolly page comes up, the CPU needs more power, and then dies a horrible death?… I am getting overheating messages… jolly irritating.
Would it be a mistake to stop the automatic restarts when CPU overheats?

Its not the ram, and its not the graphics card… Grrrrr… It is a learning experience though, and the fact that I havent fuckerd it up even more is quite promising!
Hi guys…just checking… do i need to do anything clever when dowgrading a graphics card? ie am i going to get a big fuck off power surge in this baby card? or can I just unplug the old and stick in the new?

Do you have any idea how much a Toshiba Satellite Pro, 2.8ghz, 38cm viewable screen (whatever that is in inches!) 512mb ram, 40gb hd, and DVD player/cd burner lark would be worth? Selling it to the sis minus “Cant be arsed to sell it on ebay” fee…!
Comes with Windows XP home, MS office 2003, google earth 🙂 and M$ paint.
Its 1.5years old and hasnt got a scratch on it…
