had to turn off the beetles option and instead used the 10 second spawn wave timer, under settings. I tried playing with beetles config but it just never worked right. It’s still not working 100% but it’s quicker than default and most of the time you spawn in 10 – 15 secs.

Well they’re set as close to 10 seconds as we seem able to at the moment. It’s not quite exact (I’ve seen a wait of up to 18 secs), and to get it exact we’ll have to look through the beetlesmod forums for the right commands. Still I find it less boring than before when games constantly ended in stalemates.

There clearly must be something wrong with you mate :P, there’s little difference between the tf2 spawn times and the battlefield or COD times.

The VirginMedia thing must be specific to certain areas then?

As I get great pings to both MPUK and Rackage, 12ms – 20ms normally

I don’t doubt it, I actually recommended them because I used their network (or what is now their network) when I was in Dundee. I’m really disappointed with them here though, I used plusnet before and pinged around 30 🙁

Pharty I’d be interested to see how that would improve my pings, and might even let me play COD. IP pmed.

Wait a minute, are they actually saying that 1% packet loss is something we should take up with our ISP? Is that really true?

File 4 is a common example of NTL’s network, they cannot handle the throughput so are packetshaping everything, meaning packets are dropped.

    for example | bre-bb-a-so-130-0.inet.ntl.com – 33 | 4312 | 2927 | 31 | 101 | 1312 | 94 |

That’s the only point I agree with, virgin media have been shit since I’ve moved to them, and finally I have a decent explaination (and solution).

Try the one near the bottom of the list that’s around 750Mb and is only a few weeks old. I’ll be able to tell you in the morning if it’s working.

Just finished watching this and don’t know what I think about it 😆 You end up feeling quite entertained, but most of the way through you’re dozing off or just admiring the considerable talent on display.

they were guaranteed to have loads of naked chicks in them

As Andy points out though, and I’m sure also to SOIA’s disappointment (it’s gets a 0 going by his criteria), it could’ve been a whole lot better!

Probably more a reflection on my isp than the server though.

TF2 server is lag free, but could it be affecting the cod server? Do the lag spikes occur when the TF2 server is empty?
