Oh I forgot to add my email, though most of us have it already…
The half life forum was created for stuff like this (actually specifically for tf2, when we thought it would be out soon), but I guess we could rename it.

You need steam with all these half life games. You can buy TF2 through steam for 15 quid apparently, or you can buy it as part of a box set called the “orange box” on the high street for anything up to 35 quid. The orange box inculdes episode 1 and 2 of HL2, as well as TF2, and also a nifty wee game called portal (well worth trying). If you don’t already have half life two, just shout and someone will be able to gift it to you, though you’ll have to download it through steam.
The orange box can probably also be bought through steam but it would be virtual and probably not orange.
omg I’ve just had the most fun in a game since xdc’s glory days, ’42 and rs. The rats server was dying down for the night and 3 of us were left, I kept going scout and switching teams at the end of each round for a laugh, got the odd extra player joining but still was great fun even at that stage.
The best bit though was at the end, when one guy had switched to the heavy weapons guy and was 1v1 vs me, and we played the whole of Hyrdo against each other. It was the classic can brice lee beat Ali kind of fight, with neither of us going for a point until we at least killed the other guy. Awesome fun and a highly recommend it for anyone on late some night in a similar position. Bruce Lee won, but my god was it close! Kudos to McCourt74 incase he ever finds his way here 🙂
no worries zulu, thanks for the games as always. Brilliant video jonny, that’s just what I did the other night when I started the high pitched giggle, minus the spray of course, but that would be the icing on the cake.
Poor old Alzir when he was a spy got burned alot by me as a pyro on sunday good games though and with beer
hehe I always get dominated by a few pyro’s everytime I play spy, they’re right wee bitches. Still got my job done though 🙂 gg’s and should be back again tonight.
heh just a read all the replies and have gotten confused. I voted to leave bf server thinking it was already dedicated, and considering we all still have a soft spot for the game it’s maybe worth keeping. I would love a tf2 server dedicated as well, and would be able to contribute towards it (though I could really do with a job first).

Yea TF2.
It’s not without it’s problems, in particular the shortage of maps (at this stage anyway), but it’s the first game in a long time that’s made me laugh out loud. The classes in the game are extremely well balanced and if you take the time to get used to each of them (which doesn’t take long), you really don’t mind switching to fill a gap in your teams defence/offense, you’ll probably also end up with several favourite classes which is unlike BF (in my experience anyway). It’s also a proper team game which is simple enough for the likes of us to get involved in competively, should we ever fancy that.
Beer_Monster had me in stiches following his constantly taunting heavy with my medic, it’s wee touches like that that make a game.
I’ll be on tonight but have to cope with a 300 ping for a few days yet it seems 🙁
