    Actually didn’t take that long to download it.

    I can confirm the characters have been reset, and there only appears to be one open EU server currently (Eurodyme or something like that). I’m NC again, and it looks like we’ve a reasonable population here so we’ll not see the kind of imbalances we experienced on Herse. The new continent is also available, and you warp there via a console in the warp gate. At this moment our team is dominating in the new continent earning +54 auraxium, so I’m going to stay here a little while.

    All the prices have been modified but the cert rate is back to what was normal, with no passive accumulation. There are several new weapons, including carbines, LMG’s, and assault rifles available, as well as new turrets for vehicles. The galaxy spawn generator is still disabled.

    20 dollars for the game is worth looking at though. Always a risk before we see any reviews though.

    Awesome, though you guys always pick night’s when I don’t have as much time. I’ll be home shortly and will likely get on ps2 shotrly after 6 then hopefully get something started that you guys can carry on. Played at least a 5 hour session of this last night with alex, and it’s fair to say i’m starting to see what all the hype’s about. We had a blast playing any number of roles, including stubborn defenders, attacking support, shock troops, as well as whack a mole duty, clearing up any infiltration behind our lines.

    Although we spent most of last night on the move attacking, when I look back on it now our biggest achievement was in the defence if aoutpost on our western front versus vanu. The Nc server population had dipped to about 25% vs vanu’s 40% for a couple of hours and our entire western front collapsed under the pressure of numbers…all except a little known hex on a crossroads north of tawrich. Alex, myself, and four other unaffiliated players held this against all the odds, vs sustained armour, air, and infantry attack. This hex was the only point on our.front not to fall while our population was low. We held it until things recovered and helped mop up elsewhere after it was finally secured. It is this sort of thing, which comes completely out of the blue, that makes the game.

    Got a squad planned for tonight if anyone’s about. The last two we’ve done have both resulted in our own hotspots on the map, and last night we captured one of the major points on the map with just 3 of us 🙂

    Have you even played the game since that first day when all of us were running around not really knowing what to do? The game plays very similar to bf3 in a fight, but there is downtime between fights a bit like eve, which is probably why you felt it was slow paced…which it is at times, but like in eve, it’s the big moments that make all the difference.

    The way to get some enjoyment out of the game is teamwork and squad play which we really should be able to organise here. On sunday evening, alex (automaticmeat in bf3) and me created our own two man squad and launched our own invasion of VS territory. On our own we captured and held a tower not far from the vs warpgate, and defended it against increasingly ferocious attacks, with no backup. We actually created our very own hot spot on the map doing this, iand both of us racked up some class kill streaks…i think my best was 18 or something, and when this happened other people started appearing from both sides. Not enough of our guys turned up to help and we lost our hold on the point vs 50+ people who arrived to repel us. Considering we lasted against these odds for half an hour, we felt justifiably pleased by our efforts. That was two of us, imagine what 5 or 6 of us could do.
