there is a match I want to watch tomorrow so may be late..
Shit this is actually on tonight, so I’ll be on late tonight and for the full event tomorrow.

The laser sight improves accuracy when firing from the hip, but the flashlight is just a dirty bastard tactic. I don’t use either on my main gun so I can’t tell how good they are from that side, but from my point of view flashlights give position away as much as they may benefit you. Lasers also give away position but to a lesser degree and one day i’d like to test the accuracy bonus.
Don’t let the perception that the flashlight is a dirty tactic put you off from using it though, but feel free to act morally superior if you don’t.
I may be out of action for a few days 🙁 during grand bazaar tonight I lost all net access, so phoned virgin and they’re sending an engineer out on saturday. They say it may come back on but may be still drop. Worst case scenario i’ll have a new isp in two weeks.

It’s inevitable that some people will get upset by being kicked to make room for an admin, but the admin program we’re using atm gives an option to send the player a message (whether it works or not is another question), so I always say “making room for admin” so ppl at least have an idea. You can use this program yourself with the details provided in the private forums, in case you’re not able to speak up on TS. I tend to wait until the end of a round before I consider whether I need to kick someone, but when it has to be done during a round, then it has to be done, and basically just kick people at the bottom of the score (i.e. who’ve just joined or who are afk), unless they’re recognised as a regular. If in doubt who someone might be, ask on TS (when you get a microphone :)).

The mines are good, though I haven’t used them much (I’ve been on the end of them more often), but overall the engy is a very good class. In all other versions of BF I played medic as standard, but I just can’t live without RPG because of vehicles in BF3. It’s so much more useful than ammo or health.
Let me also rise to the possible troll, and challenge this nonsense about RPGing infantry. There’s nothing wrong with it in my opinion, except maybe slightly too much splash damage on the US SMAW, which I think will eventually be nerfed. RPG’s and rockets in BF3 are nothing like the LAW in BFV. The splash damage is fair, the reload time is long. Unrealistically a hit near you doesn’t actually kill unless hurt already. Using the RPG at close range hurts you as much as them, and much more often than not results in your death, as you can’t switch weapons quickly (the exception to this is in hardcore mode where the damage from a rocket kills, even if it misses by a few metres – more realistic some might say). The use of the RPG in BF3 vs infantry is normally when you shoot someone and they dive behind an obstacle. A rocket/rpg will damage that obstactle and sometimes kill the person hiding behind it, though only if they’re already hurt or the obstactle collapses in such a way that results in environmental damage.
When watching this, did anyone see a problem with the RPG?

Just to clarify, the crash issues referred to by rackage are server side crashes, i.e. Everyone dumped off servr, amd not client side ones which will i’m sure eventually sorted via client side patches. Our server has crashed on occasion but seems more stable since game release.
That’s it now nom, and it does look good on your machine, similar to how BC2 looked I suppose, by way of comparison. Still try and save up for that upgrade though, as you’ll notice an improvement in your play the nearer you get to 60 fps.
Don’t worry about talking Chaos, it can help even to hear people calling a target out behind you sometimes, though mostly it’s us swearing about one thing or another 🙂 What’s the android app you’re referring to?
