I’m concerned this may be my isp, who I’m running out of patience with, however there is apparently a rubber banding bug at the moment which hasn’t been fully addressed yet. My concern is that it’s only me experiencing it, except for Paddy reporting it once this evening. Just so I can get an idea of where the problem may lie, could people please report their experience of this so far, and if you are getting lag or rubber banding please also note which maps it’s worst on. I’m feeding this back to rackage, at their request.
Oh and in case you’re not sure what rubber banding is, it’s when you walk a few steps, then warp back to your starting point and have to retrace your steps. It can also feel like your struggling to make any headway, or hitting obstactles over flat terrain.

November 3, 2011 at 9:04 am #80132crazy hippoParticipantas i said last night my issues are almost all down to virgin. i get packet loss in the evenings that range from 1 or 2% to 20% when its really bad.
playing over the weekend during the day was fine for me, it was just the evening when i became bad.
November 3, 2011 at 9:11 am #80133AlzirKeymasterThis has been happening for a while CH, and hasn’t just struck in the last few days?

This has been going on for 15 months!! They fixed it for about 6 weeks as they did a hardware upgrade in my area but it them returned to being crap. I have had enough and as soon as I get paid I am getting BT infinity sorted
November 3, 2011 at 1:17 pm #80136XDCFluffyBunnyParticipantAll the time, occasionally or certain maps. Tehran highway has had serious issues on 64 player servers so may have lesser problems on 32 player (the issues were very very bad nearly unplayable)
My connection is good some days and then I feel a fraction of a second behind on others – its been like this for years 🙄
Rumours of an imminent patch are floating about so until that’s released its hard to know what is causing the issues.

i got the 30 meg as well…..it was pretty good the other night apart from a couple of instances of rubber banding…….patch should sort it out though
30mb FTW !!! 😆
November 3, 2011 at 1:38 pm #80138crazy hippoParticipantI had the 20 mb connection till October last year when I upgraded to 50 to try and fix my problems, also worth noting that the 50 mblone was cheaper than the 20 but I had to find out myself rather than them lower my monthly price. So as far as I’m concerned virgin can fuck themselves
