The problem with adding forums has been resolved (thanks ben).
Seems to be a problem with my own permissions and I’m not sure how to fix it. Anyway BF3 forum is up and permissioned correctly so you can post today 🙂
Quite a few glitch videos on youtube there, including an invincibility one which might explain some of the reports in the other thread.
Most irritating for me is not being able to remap properly 🙁 I died a few times while trying to remap via escape menu (for some reason you can’t do this unless you spawn first?) but it doesn’t recognise some of the keys on the right hand side of the keyboard oddly, so I’ll just have to make do getting my fingers tied in knots by the default settings. I also hate rush.
On a brighter note, the game looks fantastic and runs at ultra for me, which I was worried about when a recent comment suggested you needed dual gfx cards for that. You don’t 🙂
Just need an update applied then I can see how things are. For some reason I’ve not been able to create sub forums for a while, and when I edited the one of the private forums recently it got changed from a sub forum to a “folder” and it got disassociated with the private forum category, although maintained permissions. Plus there’s that weird ghosting thing going on with some sticky’s.
You’ll have to be patient on this one as we need teh forums updated. Adding forums has been a bit untidy recently and I think it’s because the update is overdue. Could you fix that ben or andy?
Didn’t have time to sit and play it for long tonight but got in this evening and disappointed I can’t remap keys is my feedback….can someone tell me how?
meh that’s what the bc2 beta was like as well, and probably no chance we’ll get on a server together.

This is probably a long overdue balance tweak. Planes will be the counter to other aircraft, and in particular choppers, rather than the kerbstomping wtfpwning machines of previous bf titles (well not so much bf2, but they were still annoying on some maps). Also could you cook a grenade in earlier bf games? I suppose that’d be a nice addition, but hardly a game changer.
