I look at it this way, there’s nothing more you could wish on LeGit than to be the pathetic, fuckwitted shitstick that he so obviously is. So we can be glad for that if nowt else.
Just to let you all know, there’s an ET demo up on Gamershell.
I downloaded it and thought it was bollocks, but there you go.
Well I dunno, unless it gets slated I’ll be getting CoD4 but Quake Wars got a right kicking for it’s beta by people who played it so I’ll be staying clear of that.
Played MoH a bit more for an hour or 2 over the weekend. 3rd mission was great, the market garden level -ace map. But at the end of level 4 the cretins have put in a nazi supersoldier who has a hip mounted mg42 and a gas mask which appears to be bullet proof – he can take about 4 head shots before going down. I know it’s an arcade game but for f***s sake. I can put up tih this thing from RtCW because that didn’t make any pretence to be based on anything remotely realistic, and it had leather wearing nazi tarty bits in it which more than made up for it.
Well it wasn’t really confessions Insane but even if it was you’ve got to try for a bit of parity in what you confess mate.
To illustrate that point, let’s pluck an example randomly out of the air. So say, for arguments sake, 2 people here state that they’d quite like to boof an 80’s professionally trained dancer who sang a few songs and no doubt had a very athletic body and was perfectly passable despite a suspect 80’s hairdo. You’d probably be going a bit too far in confessing that you’d quite like to stab the rat of a fugly oap who’s a complete scratter and looks exactly like one of the bad guys off “The Dark Crystal”.
Still, fair play for you to admitting it anyway.
Not read the book but I saw the film. It’s about a gay, but not a harmless one like John Inman. It’s about a trouble making one, like that one off The Deliverance, or LeGit.
Well I was in the pub a while back and she was on the video jukebox and we all commented on the fact that we didn’t realise (being kids back in the 80’s) what a dirty strumpet she was, and she had a good body too.
So I’m with WeT on this one, I’d definitely go back to the 80’s and tonk Kate Bush if she was up for it. Not now though of course, she’ll be too crinkly these days.
To be fair compared to the shite that we’ve had released recently it’s still pretty enjoyable to play but I suppose it comes down to whether you want to pay for a game that you can comfortably finish within a week. I’d rather buy a decent short game than a crap long one, I get bored of games very easily these days anyway.
The weapon/upgrades unlock isn’t necessarily a criticism if you like that kind of thing. I just think it’s shite on an FPS where how good you are should be important, not how long you’ve played it or how flash your gun is. Christ on a crutch, leave that bollocks for the orcs n dorks games and their Sword of Dobber nonsense.
The only real criticism is this strange hit box thing. Difficult to explain but basically the game seems to intermittently switch off enemy hit boxes to represent that your lower grade weapons are inaccurate. So you’ll rush into a room and empty half a clip into an oily/jerry and after 5 or 6 shots of hitting thin air your bullets will suddenly start to connect without any change in aim. It’s not too bad when you’re outside and shooting at distance but when the bloke is stood 2 yards away it’s really noticeable. It’s a bit like playing an online shooter and getting lag.
I don’t particularly regret getting it and it’s decent enough for me to play through to the end and maybe have a go on multiplayer so I’ll get my moneys worth out of it.
It’s comparable to Ghost Recon, Advanced Warfighter in that it’s fairly decent but dumbed down for consoles. Bloody hell, that’s just reminded me of the original GR, now that was a proper game!
Bloody console games. This was obviously written for a console controller and with a keyboard and mouse it’s ridiculously easy, even on the hardest setting. I even had to restart it halfway through the first mission to make sure I hadn’t accidentally stuck it on easy. Played it last night for about an hour and a half and I’m a third of the way through it already.
The other down side is that the hit boxes for the enemy are all over the place, which is bizarre cos they weren’t on the demo. I can only think it’s some attempt to integrate this ridiculous weapon upgrade system. Weapon unlocks/upgrades in these fps games are a crap idea, can’t understand why people want em to be honest. Why keep putting them in? Even CoD4 has them, that’s put me right off that game as well.
All in all it’s still a fairly decent game but it’s gonna end up being shorter than Gears unless you handicap yourself by say, chopping off a hand (but not your wanking hand people, that would be foolish, think on).
Of course, it’s very easy to slag off religions and all that sort of thing. However, I hope for the sake of this Dawkins bloke that he’s right about everything.
Problem he’s got is that in saying there’s no such thing as God he’s basically saying that Mary was making up excuses when she assured Joseph that she hadn’t been playing away and her conception must have been immaculate on account of her being a virgin and all that.
Now then, I dunno about you lot but if there is an all powerful creator of the universe with a somewhat colourful record of smiting poor bastards for no good reason at all I’d argue that he wouldn’t be the type of being that you’d want to wilfully go out of your way to piss off.
So, in conclusion I can pretty confidently say that calling the mother of his child a lying fucking slag is pretty much a surefire way to guarantee yourself a one way ticket to hell and an eternity of excruciating arse rape by some 15 foot demon or something like that.

Well, I suppose it would stop you pretending to be dead when Mouse was around anyway.
I read that this game runs on the new Unreal 3 engine. If this is true then you’ll potentially miss out on a lot of games if you don’t get a new card since lots of games will no doubt use this engine.
Thing is that just like the Bioshock demo the MOH demo ran great on high settings on my PC (which isn’t great) so I’m quite pleased – looks like I’ll be able to play the new Unreal Tournament when it comes out – and the vids for that impressed me more than the Crysis vids.
Having said that I could be totally wrong and talking shite, so don’t believe a word of it.
I’ve been playing Call Of Duty 2 again, totally forgotten what a great game it was. First time I’ve used my PC for anything other than looking at birds narks in yonks.
As from Thursday I’ll be on MOH Aitborne so I’ll appear online on that for a few weeks and get the most out of the mp before the hackers f*** it up for everyone.
