Space, send us a pm on this forum with the league pw – it’ll save me 45 mins sending a message with the Xbox console. My telly’s not right cracking so trying to read the letters on the on-screen keyboard is a pain in the arse.
Same to Sprog or whoever is setting up the team.
Settings – if you can’t police them then just let people use what they want. Using 2 star teams is a handicap anyway.
As for getting a beating, judging by my efforts over the past few days if I manage to score in any of these league games it’ll be a result for me. I’m pretty shocking at this game considering I was fairly decent at 09.

I found the XDC league but I assume it’s dead because only Sprog was in it and he was Arse, so assume there’s another one set up somewhere. What’s is called and what’s the PW?

Someone tell me what I have to do to join this team and this league and we can sort it from there.
As for me, I’d rather play somewhere in midfield on the virtual pro settings if possible. At least that way when I make a total arse of it the defenders can salvage something.

Anyway, I’m sick as a parrot. I thought it would be a simple case of turning on the game, finding Grampus 8 and choosing them as my team, but they aren’t even on there. Reason being that one of the greatest footballers ever – Dragan Stojkovic is their manager so I felt obliged to pick them. I mean, wearing a suit and shoes he’s still better at football than 99% of players today.

Now I’m resuming drinking – it is the weekend you know.
I’ll try to get on at some point over the weekend and pick a team, but it’ll be next week at the earliest before I sober up and can hope to be able to pick up the controller and be co-ordinated enough to play anything.
And I’ll have to buy an xbox account. Dirty capitalist bastards.
3 minutes a half? Is that long enough? With 2 star teams, where shooting is wayward on semi-assisted we could end up with quite a few nil-nils.
Well I don’t know. I could go for Hannover 96 but I hear their goalie is useless. That numpty couldn’t catch a train.
I reckon we should all show some cojones and limit it to 2 star teams. That way the people who are good at the game can’t use pinpoint passing and heel flicks to slaughter the opposition. But if we can pick any team then I’ll have a think about it.
Any road, we’ve got to agree on settings.
Which have to be – absolutely nothing on assisted.
So everything on semi-assisted except for the two things you can’t have on this setting, which would be on full manual (through balls is one, can’t recall the other).
There was an MMOFPS announced years ago called Huxley which was going to stick PC and 360 users on the same servers. Not sure what happened to it.
They probably realised the people playing it on PC using mouse keyboard would absolutely murder the 360 players.
Either that or they canned it because it looked shite.

That’s fair enough mate but since I understand that Infinity Ward had the decency to put the airport scene on rails so you only need your mouse hand to mow down civilians therefore leaving a hand free to masturbate with furious, demonic force whilst you do so it would seem a bit of a wasted opportunity to play it on a controller, which needs both hands to operate no matter what you are doing.
For this reason alone, the PC version has to be the clear winner.
If this looks likely to get off the ground I’ll join in.
My only problem was that up till last week I still had my Virgin Media broadband. Downloads at 2kbps – 83 minutes to download the last 360 console update wasn’t feasible so I couldn’t get on.
By the time I’d switched broadband and updated the console (took about 30 seconds) my free gold membership had expired.
To cut a long story short, I’d have to spend money on a gold account to play games. Which on a point of principle makes me want to vomit. But if we could get a decent league going I reckon it’ll be worth a crack.
Didn’t get it. Was half considering it given the price drop but went to the supermarket to have a look but as usual these days no PC games (my local branch of “Game” doesn’t stock any PC games at all, effing ludicrous).
Not buying this on a console, that’s just mental with the controller. Assisted aim and all that bollocks. For gods sake.
I just could never buy into all the hype about this one. The single player will no doubt be good but the mp will be the godawful mess it always was. Of that I’ve no doubt. The 9v9 cap I read here might actually help it a bit though.

Well, in the grand scheme of things it’s better than Fallout 3 by exactly the same margin that it’s worse than getting Horatio off Marta Zawadzka.
So, as one look at Marta Zawadzka should illustrate – it’s a lot fucking better than Fallout 3.
So, what you need to do is engineer a situation whereby Marta is talking to the sergeant, as it were, whilst you are playing Fallout 3 (medium settings should do, you’ll probably not be paying that much attention at the time). The fucking abortion of Fallout 3 will be counterbalanced by the ministrations of Marta which will leave you with a mid point exactly where Stalker lays on the how good things are curve and you’ll then immediately know whether it’s worth the money.
The only slight hitch I’ve found is that fantastically fit and dirty looking Polish titty models tend to ignore open invites from blokes in the UK to come over here and perform sexual acts which would leave them with a face like a painter’s radio.
I know this from bitter personal experience. Or put it real terms – Bloody lesbians ignoring my e-mails.
Failing that then you might just have to chance parting with £3.50 and hoping you like it.
