ParticipantI’m no longer AWOL.
I think Digit left because he disagreed with some people’s ‘Yarr matey’ approach to software / media piracy.

ParticipantAh, I misunderstood then. WHen you said:

In conquest only mode all 10 maps are played as conquest (the titan maps rescale nicely with different spawn points in conquest mode).
I thought you meant in conquest only mode all 10 maps have to be played as conquest. Easy mistake to make ๐ Your idea sounds like the best way forward until Dice stop rolling around in money and make some more maps.

ParticipantI think the best you’re going to get in half height is a 7300LE. Which is about รฦรโรยขรขโยฌร ยกรฦรขโฌลกรโรยฃ35. I’ve heard rumours that Galaxy did a 7600GT in half height, but I’m buggered if I can find one anywhere.

Participantlook:
current map cycle:
Belgrade – Conquest
Minsk – Titan
Camp Gibralter – Conq
Shuhia Taiba – Titan
Cerbere Landing – Conq
Sidi Power Plant – Titan
Fall of Berlin – Conq
Suez – Titan
Tunis – Conq
Verdun – Titanproposed map cycle:
Minsk – Titan
Shuhia Taiba – conquest
Sidi Power Plant – Titan
Suez – conquest
Verdun – Titanor something like that. I think what Wipers was saying though is that you can’t do this. If a map is Titan enabled it always runs as a Titan map when the server is on mixed mode. The only way to get a Titan map to run as conquest is put the server in Conquest mode, and then you can’t have any maps running in Titan mode. Possibly.

It appears to have a slower RoF than the std gun and hits like a girl.
Ah well back to shooting tanks with a big FO gun ๐
I’d disagree, I much prefer the unlocked gun. Can’t hit shit with it when you’re stood up or on the run, but go prone and give it 10 seconds to line up and you can lay down brilliant suppression fire or pick people off with 3 shot bursts. Seems to have more range than the standard gun too, I was easily sniping people with it form the monorail track on…um… whatever that map with the track is the other day and you can send bursts of fire into buildings and make people keep their heads down.

This means that the same people who actually built Battlefield 2142 will be responsible for updating it.
Theres a novel idea if ever i heard one! ๐ฏ
hmmm….. so the same sloppy coders who built a game full of bugs and problems will be responsible for the patches. Great.

nah I think I get it now.. so I’m assuming she was captured in the series and in serenity they save her… I could have sworn in the film it was like they’d only just met though :/
Might have to watch it again when i’m off next week.. oh and download the series tonight for viewing too.. I must watch it from the beginning ๐
No, she was in an institution before the series. Simon rescued her just prior to the start of the series and then buys passage at the start of the series. The film comes after the events of the series. At the beginning of the film someone is watching a recording of Simon & River’s escape from the institution. By the time of the events in the film Simon and River have been on the ship for some time, you’re just confused.

ParticipantThe first scene of the film is an operative of the Earth government watching a recording of Rivers escape from the facility she was held in. The recording was made before the events of the series, but the operative is watching it after the events of the series. You know how you can get these things called ‘VCRs’ that record things so you can watch them later? Same thing.

ParticipantAnyone else seen the ‘Invisible Titan’ bug? Was playing as PAC yesterday, on one of the Titan turrets and suddenly I died. When I respawned the Titan was gone…but still kind of there. Like so:
Most annoying. Missiles were still hitting the hull, and the enemy could board…but then couldn’t see where they were going.

How do you get in to the gun positions on the titans? and can you kill them? lensman was giving me a battering the other day, and all I could do was hide!
On the flight deck toward the back theres a series of consoles which you can sit at to control each turret. You can jump between them by pressing keys 1 – 5, much in the same way as you could on the AA on the bf42 carriers. You can destroy the turrets – when one is blown the corresponding console appears as a smoking wreck.
Its F1 to F7 to switch positions I think…. 5 guns around the bottom of the Titan and 2 gattling guns on top to shoiot down incoming aircraft.

If your the holder of the said Silo.. why on earth would it be redirtecting to fire at the other titan (Which in theory would be your own)? I assumed as you had the silo.. it would fire again at the enemy titan?
what? I think you misunderstand…..
if (for example) the PAC have a silo that’s just fired a missile and the EU take the silo while the Missile is in flight does the missile get redirected to the PAC Titan or carry on to the EU Titan? Turks thinks it gets redirected to the PAC Titan. I think that sounds a bit silly and it carries on to it’s original target.

Wouldnt the rockets get there faster though… so you have less time to cap the points and re align the missiles?
Once the rocket’s in the air it doesn’t matter how quickly you capture the point, it’s still going to hit your Titan.
Not so… if you take a point where a rocket has just fired from, you get another progress bar labelled “Redirecting missile”… I presule that does exactly what it says on the tin…
hmm…. really? I thought once they were in flight they went were they were aimed.
