I recently aqcuired a free PC as a “Gift” from Fujtisu-Siemens for spending a load of dough with them….Hurrah!
However it is a desktop machine as in it takes low profile cards, and i am having real trouble finding a half decent low-profile graphics card.
It must be PCI-E and it must be NVIDIA as the I already tried an ATI card but the ATI drivers seem to keep killing the machine. ATI have been useless at helping fix this.
Anyone know where I can get a decent card?

It rocks
November 9, 2006 at 12:20 pm #38658DeicistParticipantI think the best you’re going to get in half height is a 7300LE. Which is about £35. I’ve heard rumours that Galaxy did a 7600GT in half height, but I’m buggered if I can find one anywhere.

You should get McQ to price you up a new rig I’m sure I will be a damn site cheaper than those feckers. Some nice kit on those machines, but waaaaay overpriced
November 9, 2006 at 4:15 pm #38665XDCOldPhartParticipantFulitsu Siemens = Shite 😛
Lammie, I have absofuckinglootley no plans of buying anything from that site, I like to build my own rigs. I don’t go in for light everywhere and shite, but I do like doing my own machines.
Truth be told though, I will most likely wait until March next year

Tell you what Pharty, offer it to Cowboy for £50 and chuck in a couple of DVD players and a VCR and I reckon you might have yourself a deal…

Cowboy got lucky, it was a once off and I wanted to schtopp the wife moaning.
The PC is another matter
November 13, 2006 at 2:49 pm #38668LensmanParticipantYou wouldn’t want Pharty’s rig anyway. Have you heard how long it takes to optimise the shaders in 2142 ? 😛
(Sorry mate 🙂 )
