Not bad Signal. How’s tricks with you?
So you going to get BFBC2? Just been Erratic-Space and myself playing it lately. We need some of your unbridled annoyance at all the cheaters and haxxors who are besting us.
Well I’m massively underwhelmed.
Judging by the thread subject I thought you’d brought an 18 wheeler truck.
So how about you come play some BFBC2 and put this beastie of your to the test?

I’ll hopefully be online tonight from about 8:30pm onwards tonight, so if anyone is around we can do a couple of maps.
Hi Signal. I’m very impressed with the game (less so with the players on some servers). Seems that you have to play the game a lot to unlock all the weapons and equipment that give you an advantage. Going toe to toe with a guy using an M16, red dot sight, with marksmanship skill and magnum ammo will just end in your rapid demise if you’re just starting out, even if you’ve got ‘teh skillz’ from other FPS games.
As for cost, well my copy cost £12.99 from Amazon, so I reckon that’s well worth the hours of gaming you’ll get from it.
On the downside you will become enraged during game play. I thought I’d kicked that habit. I haven’t 😯

Is anyone around this week? I’ll be about on Thursday for some BFBC2 action, hopefully from about 8pm onwards. Anyone around to make up a little XDC squad?
It would be great if you guys came online for a night. Saturday night during ‘X Factor’ and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ is always a good time for me as the wife’s too engrossed with watching shiny men in tight trousers mincing around to Barry Manilow songs to bother me. But enough about our wedding video.
I’ve played a bit of BFBC2 solo, and it’s not great. Everyone seems to be playing COD and going for a high kill count rather than trying to play as a team. A couple of times just Space and myself working in a coordinated manner has swung the balance of a game, simply because we can communicate and either warn each other or rethink our tactics.
And we have a good laugh, mostly at my ineptitude.
Hopefully be around tonight from about 8pm onwards for game tonight Space, and of course it’d double the awesomeness if we could get one or two more XDC’ers online as well. Be nice to have a well-rounded squad rather than Space and myself trying to cover all of the classes with just two of us.

That made a HUGE difference. Thanks for teaming up last night Erratic, even if it was just to keep de-fibbing my twitching corpse. Great to get some guidance and in game advice, as well as somebody to watch my back. Still got blitz’ed by all of those snipers though, but at least I now know why I was getting blown away (and then got to see Erratic getting some payback).
There’s still a hell of a lot to take in though. I got a few unlocks whilst playing, but I’ve no idea what I did to warrant it. Still pretty bewildering, but I think that’s part of the charm.
Will definitely be up for some more, maybe on Wednesday or Thursday night from about 8pm onwards.

Thanks for the tips. I might be online from about 10pm onwards tonight, maybe. I’ll need to get team speak sorted out first though as I’m a bit out of touch on using that. You should be able to find me ingame as neonsamurai= (since some guy has already taken the name).
Got the game. Installed it. Even played some of the single player game.
So when’s the next =XDC= meet up? I’m going to try and avoid playing against the rest of the Internet as they’re all bastards. All of them.

I’m slightly worried to see this though:
Whilst I obviously consider anyone who kills me in game some sort of haxxor (like Max), BF2 and 2142 didn’t really suffer too much from aimbots etc, but it looks like BFBC2 might do. Do we get many people trying to use hacks on the server?
