Very impressed in how bf3 scales, my 4-5 year old rig running a q6600@3.2, 4 gigs ram and a 4890 1gig manages a respectable 25-40 fps, fair enough its only dx10 and a lot of the eye candy is off but all the same it looks damn good.
Just thought i would post for the guys who have got rigs similar or lower than mine, its very playable and muchos fun 🙂

the 3rd and 4th screenie i changed the settings a bit higher than shown trying to find more quality vs fps, the settings in the first allow decent fps and not to bad a picture 🙂

Housed in a very small mini itx case (SUGO SG05B)Using medium settings. Im sure it could/would look better with a bit of tweaking, but with now 3 kids I either have tweak time OR play time..
Once I got on the server.. I was shadowing you a bit (a lot) last night Nom. Trying to learn some moves to sort out my k/d.
Will be installing TS tonight so i can at least listen to the banter, talking might not be possible tho…
(just discovered an android app for it!! woot)That’s it now nom, and it does look good on your machine, similar to how BC2 looked I suppose, by way of comparison. Still try and save up for that upgrade though, as you’ll notice an improvement in your play the nearer you get to 60 fps.
Don’t worry about talking Chaos, it can help even to hear people calling a target out behind you sometimes, though mostly it’s us swearing about one thing or another 🙂 What’s the android app you’re referring to?

yup, i do this with Max,if im in the same squad and i follow him about i can come second on the score board, if i dont im near the bottom,lol
Ahh.. unfortunately I was on the opposite side to Max (and almost everyone else!) so he got me a good few times. I was ecstatic the 2 or 3 times i managed to take him out! 😈 😈
