just spent the last hour or so in the test range. I’m glad to finally see it appear in a BF game as it’s long overdue. No more faffing around on empty servers to configure heli/jet controls now I just pop into the test range and can mess around to my hearts content.
The only issue I seem to be having with controls is the freelook. I have a Saitek stick which has the hat control on top which actually works for freelook except when looking up and then it brings up a battlelog type screen which I can’t seem to disable. I’ve gone through all the controls of each class; be it jets, vehicles, soldiers and helis but can’t fathom out what button brings up that screen or why the joystick hat toggle is bound to it!
just had an idea, maybe disabling battlelog in the game may help………….will try now 🙂

It works. disabled battlelog in game and now the hat control works ok for all views.
Glad you got it sorted wet, now just don’t get too good at flying and play against me!
From what people are saying here I think I will get this but so you know, it won’t be for a couple of weeks yet. I’ve moved into a place where the connection is being shared by a couple of guys who stream videos and abuse torrents like fuck which makes it virtually impossible to play a game really. I’ll be getting a second line in but that will take time sadly. Unfortunately I can’t even shut the wireless off anymore as now they just reset the router, not realising it’s me. Fucking students is all I can say.

No game no play today. So will be on tomorrow. I’ve done some cleaning inside my case and installed one more fan to top of my case. Reinstalled windows which didnt go as planned (like it never does when IM doing it). I cant access my storage drive at all so have to dig in some more… 😈

Didnt think it was out till the 1st? My order has just been dispatched by amazon though for Friday delivery but they usually turn up the next day so hopefully will have it tomorrow 8)
Just downloading the new BF4 patch and there’s a new AMD 13.11 Beta 8 driver released this afternoon that promises to fix the crashing issues.
I restalled new sound drivers which has fixed my sound loop crashes but now get a red screen of death on just about every map change.
Honestly, I’m trying not to get down about the game as I’m really enjoying it.
With reinstalling the sound drivers, I can’t get my mic to work, so I might be in TS, but can’t chat…….but rest assured, i’ll be slagging Max off to the hilt just as always 😉
OMG – I have been looking at the tablet version for commander – it looks EPIC! I wonder if I will be able to play with you guys at Commander… hmm that would be fun!

Red screen of death is the ati driver beer. That version of the beta was ment to fix it. Looks like its given it to you

I can go for a fair few rounds on other maps, but shanghai crashes loads in one round.
I tend to stay away from it now
