this aint no arcade childs game 😉 movements are awesome, as in life like, no you cannot leap buildings with a single bound or bellyflop and headshoot someone….this is tactical….outwit your enemy, use covering fire, use surpressing fire, know your objectives…if you need to defend, defend, not scurry off on your own mission..
teamplay…..me, dazz and gra defending the Konigplatza…awesome….as were holding the rest of our ‘teammates’ rush and continue to get artyed….
me, dazz and gra trying to take trenches on Baraskova amidst arty, mg
fire…as our ‘teammates’ stay at range taking potshots (dazz always first with smg as i like the rifle) getting in the trenches and bayoneting the enemyme, dazz and gra taking/defending the main house on Odessa(best map ever)…awesome fun….
Saw Max on late last nite 😀
unfortunately Max the maps were all custom ones….try and play the above mentioned maps, cause they are the bench mark for infantry…..make sure you got plenty of aa & af on through your gfx console…..to get the best outa RO you need several hours play time to get the feel of it….if you try and play it as bf2/dods all you will do is die a shit load…..this takes brains, teamwork and tactics. you dont very often die because someone has a better pc or has quicker reflexes or bends the game engine to an advantage, but the fact the other team outwitted you….
mind you theres nothing better in RO then have dazz/gra on your flanks and then the arty starts to rain down, you look over and find pieces of dazz/gra strewn across the battlefield
😀 😀 😀

Yeah some of the tank maps are a bit poo, but overall a very good game.
You get the sense that when you have actually killed someone you have achieved something as opposed to just chalking one up 🙄ps. watching nOm trying to bunny hop he’s way out of trouble brought myself and Dazzer much entertainment 😉
June 6, 2006 at 10:47 am #26406Beer_MonsterParticipantsome good games last night too, it’s been a while since i’ve had chance to play this, but it really is a cracking game. some good teamwork from the XDC crew, i think there were 6 or 7 of us at one point.
