His name might not mean much to many of you, but he was one of my favourite writers. He died on Friday aged only 57. That’s such a shame. One of my favourite books is ‘Legend’ and there are loads of others that I read and enjoyed, in fact there was only one of his books that I didn’t finish reading.
🙁

Good bye Druss the Legend… with his double crossbow… that book contained the first sexual reference I ever read… and no it didnt involve an orc!

August 1, 2006 at 8:50 am #31321XDCFluffyBunnyParticipantThats a damb shame 🙁
found alot of his books to be writen to a formula but druss, waylander and Skilgannon come to mind as some of the best characters of fantasy writing.
Mind you if Raymond E Feist dies i’ll be even more upset 😕 Really want to know what happens next in his current series

this is probably as good as fantasy fiction gets.
July 27, 2007 at 11:59 am #31329XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantThe Jon Shannow books were my fave’s, although they’re all bloody good. I particulary like the revelation about ‘The Sword of God’ and what happens to Nu Casistra (if that’s right).
Nice one Magicker.
