Alright guys although I’m a techie I’m no games guru(as half of you who have played against me on 2142 will know) I’ve just bought some upgrades and I would like to know if this is going to be any good for games eg running at top wack.
Intel Core 2 Duo (but the entry one i thinks it’s the allendale not the conroe)

Gigabyte Mobo 965 chipset
and I’m buying Darth Tater’s 7800gtx off him
plus a new sata 2 hddI’m not expecting anything like Minty’s rig (because I’m on a strict cash diet) but this should be better than my old stuff which was,

Your new rig should rock. You old one sounds slightly higher spec than my current PC, which I desperately need to upgrade too.
And don’t worry about comparing it to Minti’s rig, we know when he’s switched it on in Berkhamsted because our lights dim until the national grid turn on another nuclear reactor.

You know what, im in desperate need of replacment board and cpu (ram too but nm) alas we’re about to buy our first property, finally getting the keys next week woot and even santa cant afford to sort me out brand new stuff.

Oh I don’t speak afrikaans if that’s what you’re asking, was an insult I put in my sig for pharty, forgot about it though TBH, can’t even remember wha it means. I did just return from S Arfricar though, was immensly goodfun, third visit there, quite like the place although the crime is horrendous and the abject poverty of some of the people is shocking.
