This is one of the best comic book series I’ve ever read, and it involves zombies. Basically it’s a story about Rick Grimes (a small town cop) and his family who are trying to survive in a world overrun by the undead.
Rick and FamilyVery enjoyable and gripping, with the protagonists actually acting in a way that people would in a zombie overrun world. Some folks take it in their stride, some go nuts and some pretend it isn’t happening.
If you liked the origional ‘Dawn of the Dead’ and want to know what kind of shenanigans people might get up to in a similar situation then check ’em out on Amazon.
I don’t think so Insane. Although if there is I’ll have to check it out.
Apparently, when this comic was origionally suggested by the writer, his bosses were like “No superpowers, or guys in tights? I don’t think this’ll sell well.” Word has it that it’s one of the biggest selling comics in the US.

I’ve got the books in softcover, but if ‘Sin City’ is anything to go by, I’d get them in hardcover. My ‘Sin City’ hardcovers are now worth £100+ each, and I’ll bet this comic series will be as popular. Also, check out ‘World War Z’. I’ve not read it, but people have been raving about it and it’s apparently being made into a film.

If you’re going the hardback route (which I’d recommend) you should get this one first: Walking Dead: Book 1

The hardback versions are only available for the first two books, but I think the first six are available in regular comic style. Be warned though, this is one of those books that you’ll read in an hour or two and be wanting to know what happens next. So it might be worth buying two books.

Before anyone else buys this you should really be getting the opinion of an expert. Now we just happen to have an expert on this sort of thing in XDC Morgan who has read over 300 comics!
Now he can’t come to his PC at the moment because he broke his specs last night and is sellotaping them up or summat but this is what he made of all this:
“Worst. Comic. Ever”(PS, some of this might be made up. If so please ask Morgan not to come round to my house and get me with knockout gas then string me up by my feet to some crazy contraption that lowers me slowly into a vat of sulphuric acid filled with crocodiles. My utility belt clasp broke last night and it’s down at the £2.00 shop being repaired. Thanks.)

I could have sworn theres some kinda Zombie series type flash thing on Tinterweb.. kinda like that iNINJA series.. cept with zombies.. Its been posted on the old forums I’m sure.. cant seem to find it ont tinterwebbage 🙁
