March 19, 2007 at 12:33 am #48842XDC_WolfParticipantI cannot abide St. Paddys day. Why the hell do so many non Irish people amke an excuse to drink to something they have nothing to do with (It’s not as if the majority can even claim Christianity amongst their attachments to any Saint) especially when no one gives a Rats Ass about St George.
I personally feel that the rabid devouring of Guiness by peole who don’t drink it any other time is quite frankly appaling susceptebility to advertising and peer pressure.
On the plus side I have never cheered the French on in rugby, but yesterday I did, I’ve had enough of Irish whining about “600 years of opression” every time theey loose to England. That and the fact that every Irishman, scotsman and welshman would have been cheering on France were it England in the Irish situation. Never have I enjoyed the Irish tears as much as yesterday, especially as they were victims of their own greed in the last few minutes!
March 19, 2007 at 1:21 am #48843TurksMeisterParticipantDid you have a nice mothers day wolf?

drinking is fun 🙂
March 19, 2007 at 6:47 am #48845XDCMorganParticipantMy mother is Irish. I have ALWAYS drunk Guinness and I mean always , that and Whiskey.
I dont drink it cause its paddies day I drink it cause I bloody love the stuff. And if you got anything against the Irish, Scots or Welsh then open a argument thread and dont voice it in here.
As for the rugby, it was a bloody good game, Ive never met a Irish man or woman who ‘whines’ as you kindly put it about 600years blabla (WTF?) and if you didnt know the winning try in the game was given to france by an Irish judge.
BUT…… apart from that, for those of you who actually celebrate thier national saints day….I hope you had a nice day!!
March 19, 2007 at 7:11 am #48846tessParticipantI celebrated my national saint’s day (not with Guinness though) and Vic, an honourary Irishman (he’ll love me saying that) and I had a great night. 😆
March 19, 2007 at 8:10 am #48847TurksMeisterParticipantI think its one of those great bits of British quirkyness… who the fuck is that george fella? I heard he likes to put drag on.
Did you see what I did there?!
March 19, 2007 at 8:31 am #48848XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantI don’t celebrate St Patricks day, but I do drink Guinness because it makes me look hard.
